Clean water while camping!
This has been a wonder! My water has never been cleaner when taking out my 90s era airstream. I have a whole house filter with a similar setup. This is just a compact all in one filter. I really liked this filter over other ones because of the KDF. The KDF does a great job of removing heavy metals from water. If you are taking out your rv or camper trailer, this is a cheap addition that makes a huge difference in your outdoor experience.

Nice combo.
Bought for next year’s camping. I replace this filter yearly and now I have this hose on a spring for some give in the system.

Good water
I have another one of these of a different brand that I am using outside on the hose on the patio. I water plants with it and also shower under it when I come out of the ocean swimming. It is nice to know that you can get good quality water while showering as well as for watering the plants and even for showering my car, cleaning it off of dirt and salt water it may have on it, from the environment I live in which is down by the beach. That said, this one will go on the washing machine water so that it will allow the machine to use filtered water to clean the clothes. I think this will make the clothes smell better, as well as help the clothes to last longer with the softer water that they now will get through this beautiful filter. I look forward to installing it and enjoying the great effect that it will have on my laundry. Helping making my clothes last longer is important to me. I recently started using dryer sheets on the laundry and noticed how much longer some of my clothes are lasting. You can see the difference when you take them out of the laundry, much softer, so this should be another game changer when it comes to your laundry experience. Great job on a great filter idea !

Works well!
When I was setting up my hot tub for the first time, everything I read said to get a water filter you can attach to your outdoor water supply. I went with this one and I'm so glad I did! Not only did it serve well for filling the hot tub, but it's made a big difference in my plants outside as well. No complaints.

Another Essential But Inexpensive Tool For RVing
Safe RVing sure seems to require a whole lot of sundry items. A good water filter is high on that priority list. As you travel, you have to utilize different water sources, sometimes different ones each day. Water is provided at almost all RV parks, which is great. But how safe is the water?Water distribution systems in RV parks are generally small water systems, regulated by State agencies. Each state has it's own rules to go by. This ensures that the systems are inspected and the water tested for potability. But each system uses a different water source. Each source has it's own range of dissolved minerals and compounds, which give the water it's own unique taste, hardness and other irregularities. Some of those tastes are, well, better than others. In addition, each spigot has different RVs connected to it every day or so, by owners who may or may not use sanitary conditions when connecting. For all we know, the previous occupant may have even used the drinking water spigot to flush out their sewer lines! I've seen this happen many times. These are just some of the reasons you need a good filter for your protection. (Not part of the package being evaluated here, but in an abundance of caution, I also keep a spritz bottle with a 1:4 mix of bleach and water from home to disinfect the water spigot before connecting it to my RV.)I've been using this brand of filter for many years. I trust it to protect the water I drink, cook with and bathe in. I especially like the flexible connector that comes with it. I use a right angle connector to minimize the weight stress on the RV's water input. The flex connector absorbs some of the stress when, for example, someone trips over the connector hose. (Often as not, that someone is me!)One tip in usage of this filter is to run water through it before connecting it to the RVs water system. The water will shoot out pitch black! This is startling, but normal. You're flushing out bits of activated carbon dust that collects in the filter. It's harmless, but disconcerting. It would be more so if it were coming out of your faucets, so be sure to flush it before use.I've used a number of brands, but this one is my preferred filter.

Used to fill hot tub and fill 5 gallon containers for plants
I got this to attach to the hose to fill our hot tub, thinking it would reduce sediment and unwanted chemicals. The hot tub water is clear and all I've had to add was chlorine. Also have used this to fill 5-gallon containers with spigots that I use to water my outdoor plants. I can't tell if they "like" this water any better, but I feel good about getting all the junk out of the water for them and the hot tub. It connects easily to a hose and is small enough that it won't take up much room in the garage this winter. I haven't used it for drinking water, but it IS hurricane season and I'd totally drink the water from the 5 gallon containers in a pinch since it's been filtered. Great purchase at a reasonable price.

Good tasting water, wish it came with protective ends
If you're like many campers, the water filter you are using is way past it's prescribed time-frame. This was a good chance to compare the new filter, and this filter was up to the challenge. Taste from this new filter was way better, and the difference in smell of the water was night and day. This filter was better on both accounts.I wish this came with the little plastic ends to protect during storage to keep clean (deduction of one star), but I was able to take the old ones and move them to this unit.
