Haute Dauge Micro Pinch Collar 9"

The night that I received the collar I took our little Yorkie for a walk and it was like night and day. She would pull, choke herself, and try to take control of the walk before with a regular collar. Now she is looking to see where I'm at to make sure she is in the right spot. She would also bark at other dogs while we were walking. She still barked, but with a very slight correction tug she stopped barking. This was just the first time we used it. I can only see it getting better from here.She is a very small dog. I had to remove 5 of the links to make it work right. I don't know how effective it would be with a dog much smaller than her. Her neck is 6" around and she weighs about 3to4 pounds.If you have a little dog like I do and you’re worried about their larynx getting damaged like I was I would highly recommend this collar. She hasn’t chocked or coughed once on a walk since I started using it.

I purchased this for my 6lb toy poodle at the recommendation of my trainer. All the pinch prong collars he carries are too big and we would have had to take so many prongs out....for the same price as the ones he carries this one fits way better. For my tiny guy I had to take out three prongs in order to get this fitting properly. Took him on a walk with it this afternoon and saw great results.If you don't know how to use a training collar like this please make sure you take the time to learn from someone who does. This collar is very effective on my little wanna be husky and I only need two fingers on the leash to get his attention. No more pulling on walks and he is following other commands better now too.

The only thing I like about this is it is smaller than the Herm Sprenger 2.25 width. That being said, the quality of this collar is terrible and I may just make the HS 2.25 work. The action of this collar is terrible (aka the ability of this collar to tighten then loosen back to its full length when the dog is wearing it). The quality of the metal is so terrible it almost seems like a metal/plastic combo! I wouldn’t recommend thiscollar whatsoever. If you have a very small dog I would recommend buying the Herm Sprenger 2.25 prong collar then simply removing as many prints as necessary to get the size you want.

Awful. No where near Herm Sprenger quality. Feels like cheap overseas metal. Action is terrible - when giving a correction collar often stays tight rather than returning to "loose" feeling - dogs often don't get the chance to know that they're in the "right" vs wrong with this collar. Avoid at all costs.

I have a very small 3 lb dog, but still needed a couple of extra links to use it without hurting my dog. It's not as well designed as the Herm Sprenger collars. I have a hard time keeping it prong-side in. But it still seems to be the best choice for a small dog and it works better than a choke collar for training.

As a dog trainer , this item is well constructed, fast shipping, well priced!These micro-punches are very hard to find. Awesome job!!!

Hard to get up and links fall out. Product works just a pain in the butt to put on my dog.

I have a 3lb 12oz dog, who is precious but pulls on lead. She has a tiny neck and I knew that her pulling and mytrying to stop her was not good for her neck. I needed something that would stop her pulling with out hurting her.That being said, I wondered, "who puts an almost 4 lb dog in a pinch collar?" When I found this collar I decided Iwould give it a try. It works well and it doesn't seem to cause her any discomfort, but she does not pull as she used to pull.Even little dogs need to learn manners and this one has helped me to teach my little girl that she needs to do as I ask.
