I have a German Shepherd and a cat, these have been great form those times when I need to keep them both out of (or in) the room. Quite often they will both work as a team and push the door handles down but this is a great little gadget that stops that happening as they cannot unhook this with the way it hooks to the door frame. This came as a pack of 2 and they are adjustable too, so you can have it wide enough for the cat to come in and out, of have it narrower so neither can get through.

I purchased this product to stop dog going into the room which has the cat litter tray in.Easily adjustable to adjust how much the door opens.Secured into place easily using existing door handle and door catch.Excellent for keeping your family pets out of the rooms where they aren’t meant to be.

These are amazing. Just got a kitten and never had one before. Also have a whippet and was extremely worried how they would get on together. This allows my kitten to escape to her room which the dog can’t get through when she is eating or sleeping. A truly great invention.

I bought this in the hope that I could keep the dog and cats out of my babys room when she's asleep as closing the door often wakes her back up. It was a bit of wishful thinking I believe but for the price thought it was worth a try. For the 40kg dog, it works a treat. However for the cat who is either a contortionist or can walk through doors it is not so successful! I put it on the last hole so the gap was as small as possible and within hours I could hear my cat meowing on the baby monitor.The product itself is fab, it seems very sturdy, it very easy to set up and use and seems to be strong even being headbutted by a german shepherd. However if your purpose is to keep cats out the room it's not going to work unless possibly your cat is on the chunkier side! So back to the drawing board for us but no complaints about the actual product, more a complaint about my cat...only knocked off a star as it did not work for the intended purpose I had in mind!

These things have a good combination of sturdy materials, simple fitting (with no need to drill or otherwise affect the door) and appealing design (they are an elegant fish shape, not distracting or cartoonish). All they require is a typical interior door with a handle and an existing hole in the adjacent door frame. The fish fits over the handle, bends round and you fit the metal stud at the end into the hole which normally takes the mortise latch. The springiness of the fish pins it into place very effectively.Even my big, greedy lurcher couldn't push past to get at the cats' food, yet you can very quickly remove the fish without having to faff about or unscrew anything. I've had it for months & the plastic isn't scratched or showing signs of fatigue, so I don't think it's likely to snap. Good design.

This has proved to be an excellent barrier to the hound who adores the cat food! Despite much effort on his part, this device has held the cats dinner safe until his majesty decides its time to dine. Very easy to fit and use, wish I'd bought it (them) years ago..

These are great I've tried other products to stop my dogs ( 2 x German shepherd x Huskies) from getting into the downstairs loo to the cat litter tray. Nothing stops them like this does.* They can't pull the lin from the hole it sits in* They can't take the bit off the door handle.My cat can get through the gap, and I no longer come home to chaos in the loo!Love this product.
