The trick is to remove the battery before installing the UPS. I read about others having trouble. I guarantee that leaving the battery in during the install is was what made it difficult. The battery is held in at the front of the unit by six screws. Just unscrew and pull out the tray. Once you've got the body of the UPS installed, insert the battery tray and screw the unit back in. The other part that confused me is that this UPS didn't come with rails. As heavy as it is, I thought for sure it would have rails and searched the box for them several times. After removing the battery, you'll install the rack ears on the UPS. This is how the unit is held in your rack. I wasn't sure that would be enough to support the UPS's weight. Itsy been a couple of weeks now with no issues, so maybe I was wrong. Otherwise, I think this is a very good model from a top brand.
