Excellent Adapter and Cloning tool.
Very useful adapter. You can use as a simple drive to USB enclosure or for disk cloning. The stand out feature that not many other solutions offer is that you can convert from NVME m.2 to SATA SSD and vice-versa.Nice and compact with metal heatsink lid to keep the m.2 and onboard converter chips cool.Included power-supply doesn't get hot at all.

Works as it should
No issues with this, need something to transfer files from SATA drives and NVME m.2. Supplied with a USB C cable and would of been good to have an adapter to USB 3 in the box as most computer cases do not have USB C. Transfer speeds are ok but not lightening fast but does the job I needed it to do.

This IS NOT a Hard Drive enclosure !!
This "ENCLOSURE" ?? is a complete waste of Money, It is NOT a Hard Drive Caddie, Although it does not advertise as one, it gives overall impression as such, There is cheaper software on market that does same job, eg. Easus or Casper clone !! ..One VERY disappointed customer !!!

Very versatile piece of kit
I had an old computer with 2 x SATA drives in it which died some time ago.I wanted to copy the photos and personal data off those drives, but had no computer to put them into as I only have a laptop now. The adapter works well. It is completely plug and play with no setup needed. Once I connected the old SATA drives to it, they were immediately recognized in my Window File Explorer. The file copy rate was good too.

Not for optical drives
This would not work with a DVD drive, powered the drive ok but PC would not register device. I've used several of this type of adapter over the years and they all were fine with optical drives. I ordered this with the idea of replacing an existing Alxum adapter which DOES recognise optical drives. I tried connecting a 3.5" hdd to device which worked fine.

Seems good…
I thought this would be a useful thing to have on standby, on the rare occasion that i need to access a raw SATA drive. Unfortunately my very basic laptop doesn’t have a USB-C port, luckily i found a USB-A to C adaptor so i was back in business. Would have been nice if one was supplied. I plugged in the power to the dock, then plugged in an age old SATA drive i had lying around from an old laptop. Plugged in the USB and turned the dock on. The drives on the disk popped up almost instantly in File Explorer and asked me to scan for threats, which i did. It scanned 20k+ files fairly speedily, and then i was able to access the drive with no apparent lag. A big chunk of files copied across quickly and easily. Four stars because it isn’t cheap considering it’s doing a simple task.
