Nice Pen Blank Resin
I had been reading a lot of opinions regarding this casting resin, so I decided to give it a try. After I got the box containing the Liquid Diamonds, I tried it out on hybrid pen blanks, in a 3 blank block mold. I did a 2 color pour over some cutoffs from wood I stabilized, without using the pressure pot. The blanks turned out just fine, without any signs of not adhering to the wood. I must say, it was a unique experience to do casting in the house. I’ve found there are things I really like about this resin, and some I don’t.What I like:1) Liquid Diamonds is easy to mix.2) I like the longer (than Alumilite) working time.3) I like the ease of turning it.4) It takes mica powders very well, and those colors mix into the resin easily.5) There is virtually no odor. Now for some things I’m not crazy about:1) The expense of it.2) The blanks don’t seem to polish as well as Alumilite.3) 24+hour cure time. So, in my experience, this may be a really great resin for a person just starting out in casting who prefers not to deal with the fumes and/or mix ratio of PR, or the necessity of a pressure pot required for casting Alumilite. I feel this resin may also have use in the veteran casters arsenal as well.

Works as described...just what I was hoping for
I am a novice resin user. I am looking to make hybrid wood/resin blanks for turning (bigger than pens). I have tried a couple different resins and also watched a sh!t ton of youtube videos. This product had good reviews and advertises that a pressure pot is not necessary. It has a longer working time and a video that I watched said to make sure to allow the mix to start warming up before pouring. I did not need that for my first project. I mixed the two parts and then the color. I put my blank in the mix and left it alone for a couple hours. When I went back to check on it, most if not all the bubbles had dissipated. The color was a beautiful clear blue. I then put it aside and left it until morning. Due to the small area in the cup, the resin set up and cured fast. It turned very nice and polished well too. I made a nice spinning top. I have more to learn, but I have zero complaints so far.

Flaws on the surface of my pendants
I have tried a number of resins through the years and each have their pros and cons. I read a good review on this resin so decided to try it. It is easy to mix and there are no noxious odors. I liked the watery consistency as I didn't wish to dome my pendants. The bubbles were virtually non existent. The only problem that I had was when the pendants cured a film that looked like oil slick appeared on the surface which of course ruined the effect .I have since switched to another type of resin but will revisit this resin at a future date to see if perhaps there was something I did wrong when mixing it.

Looks like larger bottle is missing some but it's not
When I first got this and opened up the box I was annoyed to see the larger bottle appeared to only be 2/3 full. But out of curiosity I decided to calculate the volume of each bottle. The measurements are an approximation but as you can see in my diagram it comes out to be about 12.5 oz for the kit. I don't know their reasoning for choosing a bottle that significantly larger though. It's very deceptive and I can see why people would be upset. As for the resin itself I really enjoy it. In the past with other resins I've struggled a lot with micro bubbles. It didn't seem to matter how gently I mixed it or how much I'd torch/heat gun it some stubborn bubbles would show up. And because I live in an apartment I wouldn't have been able to do a pressure pot. This resin has significantly cut down on the number of bubbles I've gotten. And the bubbles I have gotten are due to user error with a complicated mold.Overall I will probably buy again, but a larger kit next time.

Lovely product but must mix very accurately.
Dries very clear and hard within 2-3 days. MAKE SURE YOU MIX ACCURATELY or you will have soft, ruined pieces (wasted half of the kit making this mistake twice - don’t eyeball use cup with measures on it!!).Also as a newbie: don’t use too much heat too fast trying to get bubbles out or the pieces will adhere to your molds and the mold will tear and be ruined. That said as long as you mix slow and heat the resin in warm water you get minimal bubbles. Will buy it again.

Easy to work with!
I use this for dice making. It has a super long work time which was great for me when first starting out! It made it easy to keep the bubbles out until I decided to get a pressure pot. Hardens beautifully. I’m usually able to pull after 9-10 hours, but try and wait the full 12.

High quality resin
Great resin. I used it to make jewelry and pendants, and I was a beginner. I was successful my first time trying the product which says a lot about the quality since the ratio of A to B must be perfect to experience hardening. None of the resin yellowed or had problems with air bubbles.

Great product / Ratio in bottles is incorrect
So far so good, as far as the product goes. I am new to casting and heard awesome things about Liquid Diamonds. The missing star is because there is a significant amount of resin remaining and not enough hardener. I used the 2:1 ratio.
