The Best Casio Digital Watch
I’ve owned a few Casio digital watches over the years, and this is by far the best. Most of their “steel” watches have a plastic case that is simply chrome plated, but this is made of solid stainless steel. You can feel the difference. The quality is much higher than you normally see from Casio, and I can tell this watch will last a long time. It looks great and functions well.

A step up in quality
If you are into Casio digital watches then this watch is a must ! The finishing on the all stainless steel case is a really good combination of brushing and polishing combined with a mineral glass face take this watch to a different level compared to most Casio watches. The brushing continues onto the bracelet that really catches the light well, it's similar to a "Beads of Rice" design. The clasp is a fold over deployment type with three micro adjust holes which helps to get a better fit on your wrist. Backlight is ok and does illuminate the whole screen with an orange glow that lasts about two seconds per press. Fairly basic functions on this watch including: Time, Alarm, Stopwatch, and Setting screen, and that's it ! Battery is CR1616 and should last approx 3-4 yrs alarm and light usage dependent. Bracelet adjustment can be tricky as it uses "L" shaped push pins but fairly easy to do yourself ( there are plenty of U-Tube video's showing you how ) This watch has a snap on case back and there fore it's only water resistant so I would advise not to get it wet !!! Now the main downside is price, at around the £100-£120 is this watch worth it ? Overall I think it is, but if don't want to spend that much then look at the Casio A100WE-1A which sells for around the £50 mark and uses exactly the same (3503) module inside, although the case is only plastic with a chrome effect finish. If you're also thinking about the Tissot "PRX" digital at around the £300 mark then I would seriously consider this A1100D as an alternative ! One last point this watch only operates in 12hr format i.e. AM and PM so no option to change to 24hr display ! Hope this review helps !

My favourite Casio by far
The media could not be loaded. I've owned a lot of Casio's over the years from the cheap F91w to G-Shocks, Edifice and Lineage. This is by far my favourite. It's not perfect, the bracelet pulls hairs occasionally and for the price a sapphire crystal would have been appreciated but I wear it daily. It looks cool and retro plus because of the size it's very comfortable. I tend to wear it on a leather strap for all day comfort.

May be hard to see for some (like me!)
Liked the watch - part of my reason for buying it was because it had a solid stainless steel case (not resin), and a mineral glass over the display (rather than plastic), and that it had a backlight so I would be able to see the time when I woke up in the dark in bed (my analogue watch doesn't have luminous hands and I don't use alarms). Some Casio's backlighting isn't wonderful, but this one is okay. Only trouble was that I hadn't figured out that I'd need my glasses on to be able to see the digits, so, er, guess I messed up on that one! Back to the drawing board (luminous analogue, here I come!) Strap way too long for my 7 inch diameter wrist, but easily adjustable if you know how. The strap pins on this cannot be removed by an extractor tool. It requires brute force, but precisely applied, then it's easy. Take my word for it, the best way I found after much experiment with tiny screwdrivers, bradawls, etc., was, believe it or not, the end point of a cork-screw - worked perfectly! (can find how to adjust this type of strap on youtube). Item delivered before date due and is the genuine item, not some cheapo copy.

Different to the generic watches. I love it.
A great alternative to the generic watches. A conversation starter for sure. It does the date and has a stopwatch functions and a decent backlight. It will not show 24 hour time and does not have a lap setting stopwatch function. In daily use I rarely need to know 24 hour format and I can't remember when I last needed a lap timer so no issue for me.This is a watch that is a great alternative to the generic digital, analogue or smart watch. The case is stainless steel as is the bracelet. The clear face is mineral glass so is harder to scratch and more robust than acrylic plastic. The front function buttons are unusual these days and are easy to use. Backlight works very well. Case feels solid and the finish is very good. I have no issues with the bracelet pulling hair but then I'm not as hairy as a grizzly bear.

smart watch
arrived promptly, beautiful watch and the looks did not disappoint, easy to set and kind of took me back to the good old eighties when setting it.However when I tried to change the strap it became evident that the dimensions stated 22mm but was actually 20mm. so wasted money on a strap that will not fit.bear this in mind if you like to personalise your watch.Other than that its a sweet watch.

Give it time.
When I first opened the box I thought .. oh no, it’s tiny, well it’s not tiny but it is small, the other thing that was immediately apparent was the strap, to be fair, it’s garbage, it made it feel like a toy and I was set to send it straight back, mainly due to its size. However, after wearing it for an hour or so I actually forgot about it being on my wrist , this had me thinking that it’s not always cool to have Big Ben strapped to my arm, I’ve posted a pic next to my Citizen promaster for comparison. This is actually a pretty neat little watch, excluding the strap it’s very good quality, I may play around with a few other straps but as of now it’s a keeper , enjoy it if you get one and give it some time to get used to it , gotta feeling I’m going to love it , it’s actually a pleasant breath of fresh air 👍👍👍👍
