It Does the Job for a Reasonable Price
I needed to replace my 40 year old tripod I use with my SLR Camera. Whilst this Neewer modle is not as light as my old tripod, it has good adjustments and seems quite robust. It also has additional and very useful features including the ability to hang the camera out safely for vertical shots away from the legs. It also comes with a useful bag to tote it around. It may not be the best tripod in terms of total features, however it seems to be well made and it does everthing I need it for at a reasonable price point.

What a bargain
Managed to get one of these “used - like new” with the Amazon saving thing. Got around 50% off!!! All I can say is what a bargain. There is no issues with it at all. If it’s been used before, you can hardly tell, but it’s only going to get used again and I can’t believe it was so cheap for such little usage. The tripod itself is perfect for what I need and has such a good build quality I’m surprised. I’ve used tripods before but never owned one and this is incredible. Strong, versatile and can be folded down to a very small size and comes with a handy carry bag too. What more could you want!?

Amazing!!!
Good sturdy tripod. The weight helps it to be more trustworthy. Easy to use and good value for money would highly recommend it. Just a bit awkward to put back in the bag after use.

The tripod is of excellent quality and functional.
The tripod is of excellent quality and functional. The tripod is excellent, but a bit heavy. Although perhaps weight will play a positive factor. It takes at least 6 months to really describe the advantages and disadvantages. But now I'm happy with everything.

Perfect for a new photographer looking for their first tripod.
I’m liking the fact it is so versatile. I’m going to be able to use this for a multitude of shots. I can go super low to the ground and it’s quite high. I mean I’m 6ft 4 and with the centre column fully extended its as tall as me. I can do top down shots, so that centre column can do a full 90° Obviously you will lose the maximum height when adjusting the centre column. It’s seems well built.....I couldn’t say what it’s missing. I’m no professional photographer it must be said so but if you need a tripod and it’s ya first one. This is cheap enough and good enough to last you years, at least till your skills out grow it’s capabilities oh yeah. It can do pan shots if your using is for video. If you really needed to you could loosen everything and have the ability to track full 360 and up down 90.

Excellent Tripod for the money
Bought this as a Christmas present for my girlfriend. Set it up to test it out, and it seems to be very well made and sturdy. I have a Benro, which cost a lot more, and the quality and feel is pretty much identical. Hasent been tested out in the field yet, but no reason to believe it will not perform as expected. Its a little heavier than other tripods of the same size, but that could come in handy on windy days. The leg diameter is 28mm at the top, which you usually only get on more expensive tripods.I think that Neweer make some decent quality gear, as I have a set of extension tubes by them, and they are very good quality also, and are much cheaper than the big brands. The only negative is that (as mentioned by another reviewer), the case had quite a bit of furry mould on it. However, this was easily sponged of with no detriment to the case. So overall, I would defo recommend this tripod.

More difficult than it should be
This is a great sturdy tripod and the boom arm is exactly what this instagram age requires for flatlay pics and tuition vids. However I dropped two stars because there are a few things which make the total operation awkward and difficult.1. The legs are adusted by a screw, not a lever - annoying when most tripods have levers that release the legs. With this you have to constantly remember which way to screw, and it makes the whole operation of adjusting three legs, very slow.2. The boom arm screw is uber uber stiff and awkwardly placed which makes adjusting the boom difficult and much harder than it should be especially if you have small hands3. Most annoying of all is that this tripod, when reduced to it’s most minimal size, only JUST fits into it’s case in a certain way. Literally half an inch bigger would make the whole operation of using the case much easier. Infact, I don’t use the case because it’s enough to induce nightmares trying to get the tripod in it!!

Solid Upgrade with Versatile Features, but Not Perfect
This tripod is much better than my others, offering a wider range of versatile positioning options. It’s on the heavier side, but that’s what the included carrying case with adjustable strap is for.I bought it mainly because my other tripods struggle to hold position with heavier camera set-ups, and while this one performs better, there’s still some creeping when using large, heavier lenses like my Canon 800mm telephoto shown in image. I am looking into the possibility of whether a replacement geared head mount would be an improvement assuming the head is exchangeable. One great feature is the ability to mount a phone or tablet on the horizontal strut (with a suitable holder) and use it as a larger screen viewfinder or remote shutter for long exposures.
