I haven't had a chance to use this for more than a day but I thought it would be helpful to show people how this thing recharges. It's definitely not like anything I've seen before.The middle plastic piece is actually its own usb charger. It fits right into any usb port and will show it's charging when the light is red.I saw a lot of users opening the insides to replace a battery, but it's actually kind of a genius design to not need a cable . . . Although, better instructions could really help keep people from dismantling things since the little piece of plastic is the most unlikely charging system I've ever seen.

Charges quickly nice selection of brightness and is extremely light easy to adjust and attaches on to iPad or book very easily. Just what we wanted.

I do like the book light after I finally figured out how to charge it up. It should have instructions on the back of the package. I have not yet had the chance to use it on a real book, which is what I truly purchased it for. I have tried it on my Kindle when that book light's batteries died. Not good for a Kindle. It kept snapping off and falling behind my bed. I am hoping this doesn't happen on a real book.

So far I'm loving this. Its prefect for the reMarkable 2 holds by clamping only on the boards. The clamp can go down to were its on the screen but does not seem to hurt it.To be on the safe side I put a piece of felt that had tape on the back on the part that can touch the screen.After using awhile I noticed that you could not write on a small part of the screen on top.It was the magnet on the booklight doing it.I took the magnet out and now its fine.

So many products come with batteries. If it doesn’t, this information is usually listed with the name of the product. So, that was a disappointment. The next one is the cover for the batteries is hard to get open. If you suffer from arthritis, or your hands are weak, this could be a problem. I don’t hate the product, but I wouldn’t buy it again and I would not recommend it. I will go with another brand next time.

I used this for a handheld police scanner radio. It has a display that is a little hard to see and instead of running down the batteries on the scanner I rigged this little beauty up to cast light on the screen. It is a well made and very bright lamp. I love the spring loaded book holder as I use that to hang the radio from a mount in my truck. It hit all the marks and I can see using this for many years.

I have to tell you that when it came I thought 'what the hell'... but it turned out to be premature. This is a wonderful little light, has four settings and even the brightest doesn't wake my husband. It sits well on a paper back and doesn't cast shadows on the page. Charges via USB port. I don't know how long the battery lasts before needing a recharge but I have used the light at the highest level for over 3 hours without dimming. Would purchase again.

This light isn't great for the kindle because you can't pinch and squeeze the end to put it on but rather have to just sort of force it on and make it open wide enough. We bought a case for our kindle and while it is wide enough to fit over the kindle with the case on it keeps the case from going into automatic sleep mode. So, then you have to keep taking the light on and off all of the time, which is difficult and will eventually end in scuffing up my case.
