Q: Is this Good for straining cooking Oil particles?

It’s plastic item. Not sure it will work on hot oil. But product is good for straining. Keeping the product in and getting rid of the liquid

Q: Anyone use this with straining rice? The holes look too big for that but just want to be sure before buying. Thanks in advance.

I have not used it to drain water from rice, but you might give it a try. It works great with everything I used it for and the clips really do hold on perfectly to the pot without slipping at all. You could always put a colander in the sink to catch any rice small enough to slip through!

Q: I'm not sure how to get it on a pot full of boiling spaghetti, can you put it on before you put the pot on to cook? I'm afraid I will burn my hands

Hi….Considering your fear, I would try to put it on before….I doubt it would burn and even if you put it on after the spaghetti is cooked, you’d be poring water that’s just been boiling out …. But, I’d watch it the first time, for sure….if you think the pot is too hot….turn off the heat, let it cool and take it off!
