they FLOAT too
These were/are great; I don't have a longevity answer, but the "out of the box, and in the ocean" report is 100%; fins are silicone: very resilient and will keep their shape; I cudda used another inch on the propulsion end, but this was just enuf; they're made as swim-trainer fins, not for what I put'em thru. They FLOAT! I got brite orange so I cud find'em IF they came off; (they DID NOT budge, but surf was weak). Nice, whole foot encapsulation/"footbox"> NOT a strap! There's an average area at toes: I wear 10.5 WIDE shoe (I have sorta splayed toes as I most NEVER wear closed-toe shoes). Their Men's size for 10.5 was spot on: Mens/XL /10.5>11.5 (I wrote customer service and they responded right away with requested sizing & float info). The shortie fin lets you face the surf as you walk thru shallows to the waves; also, you can walk forward OK on the sand (you ain't gonna out-run Usain Bolt). They (CAPAS) offer a discount on a neoprene, 2mm sock/bootie w/non-slip sole that I'm glad I added to my order as it eased the pressure on my wide big toe and made the fin really "loose-proof"> snug. Sock is nearly water tight, definitely NO SAND gets inside. I was fairly hard on the whole rig: Boogie-boarding, dragging the flippers & socks thru the surf; sock is a snug fit above ankle, about 2" worth; I bought the L/8-10 Mens Sock because I didn't want to be "slopping around" in the bootie at all; if bootie (any wetsuit, is tuff to pull on, have a shaker of baby powder close by: I store mine with baby powder inside after they dry. The bottom of the bootie will tolerate all but razor coral (more than standard wetsuit bootie, but I'm guessing there).

Short Training Fins
I use the short fins for lap swimming. They are soft, easy to slip on, and comfortable to wear in the water. Mine are just a little big for me but they stay on and do not cause any blisters at all or hinder my swimming of 100 laps. The net bag that comes with the fins is a plus.

Great for lap swimming.
These fins have just enough "fin" to keep my legs up and provide some leg help. I've seen some negative reviews complaining about lack of propulsion. But I think that is for people who want to snorkel outdoors. That being said, these could be used for surface snorkeling - just cruising around.

Fits well
Does the job. Wanted these for lap swimming. Also takes up less space in my luggage than my previous ones. I am about an 8 1/2 nine. I ordered the larger size. Could have gone with a smaller size as well as I have a narrow foot, but I was able to keep them on.

Love it. Definitely helped my kick
I’m 50 and learning to swim. This improved my kick and speed 100%. These allowed me to focus on correct kicking technique and removed anxiety while in very deep water. They are very long fins, but the perfect length for me. Less noticeable so I didn’t feel like a sore thumb. My instructor thinks they are an asset.

WORKS FOR ME
These fins are ideal for swimming laps. What's best is they're easy to swim laps compared to the standard scuba fins that are a good bit larger and not necessary in a pool. Much easier to carry around too with the handy mesh bag provided with the order. I would buy these again and tell any avid swimmer to purchase if they want a little boost with their swimming. They're even better as a training aid for kids or adults learning to swim as they will give you more power and confidence.

Perfect Fit and Function!
Very pleased. These items are everything advertised. I'd certainly not hesitate to buy them again. No problems or issues whatsoever. Can't speak to durability as I've only been using for 4-5 weeks now, but overall, quite satisfied.

I used to train with fins a lot when younger. Recently got back into swimming and these really improve front crawl kick adds good speed to work out and keeps form good. Adds to the leg work out. Can't complain so far.

Super!!
Sie sind klasse!! Meine Tochter (8 Jahre) liebt sie. Sie sind bequem und durch die verkürzte Flosse sind sie angenehm (sturzfrei) beim laufen, funktionieren jedoch wie die länglichen im Wasser!

A good light-weight travel option
This is great for occasional holiday snorkelling, and means it does not add a lot of weight in the case the limited by airline luggage constraints, also can walk in them unlike full flippers and acts a a simple rock shoe too. Of course not as much power as a full flipper but a great compromise.
