RubiesWomen's Pirate Maiden Costume

I'm right in the middle of the size range on the size chart for size 'standard' but the costume was tight on me. It is very cute though. I decided to wear the head scarf more like a headband but it looked good I think. Good quality for the price. I'll wear it again next year. The gold around the top of the shoulders/neck can rub which can be annoying. It's sexy but not too short or trashy. All in all its worth the price and it looks good.

I wear a size 10 or 12, and the regular size was a little big for me, but with the sash around the waist, and the corset, the size is very flexible. The skirt is very stiff, and prone to wrinkling. The shirt isn't really a shirt, the sleeves and bust are sewn to the black corset. But it was a really fun costume, and fairly flattering. My husband also dressed as a pirate, and our baby was a parrot.

This costume was for my 11 year old daughter to wear to school. It was a little big for her, she is 5'4 110 lbs, so I washed it in hot water and dried it in the dryer to shrink it a little. This worked great and fit her perfectly afterwards. The sleeves can be worn off the shoulder or on (she wore them on the shoulder to meet the school dress code requirements. The length of the costume made this age appropriate compared to most pirate costumes (even the ones for tweens). I have since washed it and it is holding up perfectly.

I hesitated and went with my in-stinks and bought the xtra large and it barely fits. The material is not very great either. I’ll wear it but might have to make some changes with my sewing machine

I like the way this dress fits, the corset and the back sash allow it to be fitted and I think I'll be able to wear it comfortably. All the other costumes I looked at just looked trashy, this is cute and sassy, but with this costume I won't worry about any wardrobe malfunctions. It seems to be quality fabric, I'm not very worried about it falling apart in any way, it was pretty wrinkly when I got it, but I have had it hanging, and the wrinkles seem to be falling out of their own accord.The cut is flattering, I think the costume will serve for the party I'm going to and will also work for Halloween. You're not going to get a better costume that at the price, it's feminine and fun, but not sleazy.The only warning I would point out is that the white blouse part of the costume is a little see-through, I recommend a white bra or light camisole. It's not ridiculous, but something to consider while you're ordering. Even without the camisole it'll still show less of your goods than 90% of the other costumes.

I wore this costume to work for 7 hours and by the time I got home, I noticed there were chunks of black velvet missing! They had been flaking off throughout the day but I didn’t notice until I took it off. Not sure if it’s from the friction, my deodorant, or something else but this is definitely a one time use costume!

The costume was just perfect fit very well I usually wear in 18-20 and this one was a plus size which was an 18-20 I'm very pleased with his costume Fitz just perfect The size I've been wearing and costumes was an extra large this one and plus size is an 18 - 20 absolutely nothing bad to say about it. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

It was a cute costume but do shirt waisted it did not fit plus the black part did not come together and the white part was big.I cut off the skirt so it was a little below my waist snd Eire black slacks and red herks with it for a cruise costume. Also bought a great pirate hat to go with it.

I only used it for a party, and it was enough! The fabrics are not the best, but for one night, the price was worth it!
