Q: Which solvent is used in the extraction process? I have been using this powdered extract and also dried whole berries.

Don’t know but I did not like this brand. I bought whole berries and used the nutribullet to grind it up

I don't know why you are asking the question but if it's about concerns of heavy metals or toxins in it, it's certified organic by the USDA. That's the "United States Department of Agriculture". This makes me confident that it truly is organic and safe.

Q: Can someone please tell me what this tastes like? I normally don't drink smoothies so is there anything else I can add this to?

To me it tastes like celery and white radishes. Smoothie recipes are beyond the scope and use is very dependent on the individual biochemistry , food history allergies and so on. I suggest reading some of dr. Gundry's works before figuring on adopting a recipe into a diet for more than a month. This could be a great ingredient for a salad dressing thus avoiding sugars.
