Great book by a great person!
It is an excellent book on leadership!"Look within: do not allow the special quality or worth of anything to pass you by."I deeply appreciate the wisdom woven throughout this book, especially this quote. It conveys a simple yet profound truth—embrace every opportunity, every person, and every moment life presents because once they pass, they may never come again.

Embrace the strange translation and make it mean more to you .
This is my second copy of this exact book (there are others, written slightly differently. ) this is a book worth having. The translation may seem shallow or unintentional or lazy or any of the other words the reviewers left.I found it more thought provoking . It's easier to remember my quote over citing someone else's quote, while being precise. When I had to stop and think about the quotes I was able retain a bit more. Thinking about what word needs to be there. Give it a shot. I think you'd enjoy it more diving into it with the mindset of " I get to fill in the blanks" .

1 STAR quality
1 STAR qualityIf your looking to read Meditations you definitely should it’s amazing and has stood through time just not with this copy. It’s the cheapest made book I’ve ever had.You see right through the pages of the words on the other side because of how thin the paper is.After just a couple times of picking it up to read the pages start to unbindThen you got gold dust on whatever it touches from the coverIt’s a great read just buy it from someone else

Thin pages
The hard cover is very nice. It comes with a silk like bookmark. Unfortunately the pages are very thin so you can see the words in the next pages faintly. It doesn’t impact readability but I’d prefer thicker pages. Otherwise it’s very nice.

Easy to read
Great book - I came across this in a Seinfeld interview. It's an easy read in bite sized chunks of philosophy. I also like the timeline that sets the scene in the beginning. This was a gift for a friend and it was well received.

Marcus Aurelius
Well made hardback book. pages are the thin kind found in a bible or dictionary. The book is not as big as it appears in Amazon. Measures 6 3/4" x 8 3/4". Very quality, would make a great gift for the thinker that you might know.

Incredibly Low Quality
This book has a beautiful front, and this is all you see when ordering it. When you open it, you discover a massive, tacky quote embedded in the back cover of the book, taking away any semblance or illusion of an elegant book. The paper inside is pathetic, you can read through it, as when you write with a heavy pen on a thin piece of paper. There is no excuse to be able to see the words on the back of the page through the front of it. Not to the degree you can on this book, anyway. It feels cheap, it feels fake, and it feels like a cheap emulation of what the cover wants you to believe it is.However, it sits pretty on a shelf, and the gold edged pages do fit the theme. The illusion that convinced me to buy this edition will also be the illusion that satisfies me as I look upon it on the shelf. For reading, it is not the best, but there are many ways to read this book. So I suppose in a way, it serves it's purpose. Perhaps it isn't very stoic of me to care. The translation seems fine, and the content is of course Meditations, you can't really mess that up, but I suggest buying another version.
