Every year around Halloween in a historical cemetery tour, I portray a late 19th or early 20th century character who tells the story of someone who met an untimely and often grisly demise. I bought some boots like these here ten years ago that were surprisingly comfortable and held up remarkably well, given how inexpensive they were. They looked great with my costume. Finally, they got too ragged, so I ordered these boots (a slight upgrade), hoping they'd be just as comfortable as the old ones. They're perfect. More comfortable, actually, and the materials they're made of are better. Great purchase, can't wait to wear them next Halloween--or maybe sooner for a night out! I wear size 8 and they're true to size.

These arrive at a very nice little gift box. For 50 bucks I was hoping they would be something I could use for a couple of years for costume use. They are very soft, they don't need a break in really at all - this surprised me. They are certainly something you're not going to use for everyday use, and I don't know if the soles would hold up. They seem rather soft and not real durable, but I didn't buy them for hiking. I bought them for an accompaniment to a witch's costume but I could see using them as unaccompaniment to a period costume also. I would recommend them if you like the look of them, they're true to size.

I wanted to find Victorian-style boots for a play I’m currently in and these boots are exactly what I was looking for! I ordered a size 8 (my usual shoe size) and they fit perfectly right out of the box. They are very comfortable and easy to move around in which makes them ideal for wearing on stage (or anywhere else!). The boots are even sturdier than I was expecting and feel well-made. I especially like how there are only laces and no zippers which makes them more authentic for the Victorian time period. The boots arrived in beautiful condition and were well-packaged. I’m very happy with this purchase!

I bought these boots to wear with my Victorian costume for the Dickens Christmas Fair this year. They are SO comfortable and nice-looking that I know I will wear them with regular outfits this fall too. Very pleasantly surprised by the quality and fit. You will not be disappointed!

Love the boots but there isnt much room where the laces fit around the ankle to put your foot in without greatly loosening the laces. I got a size 8 and once i get them on, they fit fine and feel fine. They are just hard to get on and off! I did receive several compliments.

After reading reviews of other shoes, I noted that some reviews said the shoe was of lower quality than expected. But the reviews for these shoes said it was BETTER quality than expected, and they are right. The material is beautiful; I even like the laces (which one reviewer didn't); and I look forward to wearing them. I have to first wear them in a performance of the Nutcracker, so I will be dancing in them. They are a bit too loose in the toes, but I will put an insole to plug that up. After the Nutcracker performance, on the streets they'll go!

OMG 😲, I found the perfect boot. I have been searching for a comfortable and fashionable Granny Boots. The boots are cute and good quality. I wear these boots with just about everything in my wardrobe. It goes great with jeans, skirts, and dresses.

These are super comfy. I know they're kind of designed to be more for costuming but I genuinely wear these every day and feel super cute and confident.
