Expensive but you get what you pay for
Sharp as can be. These clippers are very sharp and give no resistance. Make sure you’re clipping the right part of the nail. The first time I used them I was concerned it was possible to cut too short so I was extra cautious. They are expensive for nail clippers but can see the value for money as I don’t think these will go blunt in my lifetime. Fantastic!

Quality
High quality stuff. Really easy to use because it has longer grip than the regular ones.

Best I’ve used
Bought these after seeing the rave Wirecutter review. And yes, it’s worth the money. Maybe a coincidence but the nail that usually breaks first (does everyone have one like that?) seems to have grown longer than usual - long enough to need trimming with the rest.Either way, they’re great nail clippers.

Best nail clipper out there
My nails as a bloke are particularly tough going for almost all clippers I've used till now. This thing cuts through like butter and the build quality is premium - looks nuke proof!

Definitely the Rolls Royce of nail clippers
Sharp easy precise nail clipping - best I have ever used. I thought of comparison to Rolls Royce in quality and then noted that others made the same comparison. I purchased the nail clippers after reading The New York Times Wirecutter review of nail clippers. The New York Times review mentioned that the Green Bell G-1205 and the Seki Edge SS-112 are the same nail clipper, with Green Bell being the brand name used within Japan and Seki Edge being the export brand name. I also noticed, after purchasing the Green Bell G-1205, that the packaging of the brand labelled Takuminowaza with model G-1205 on Amazon.co.uk is identical to the Green Bell, including the name Green Bell, and sells for about 6-7 GBP less, also from an Amazon Prime seller. A Google search reveals that Takuminowaza/Takumi no Waza is mentioned alongside Green Bell in the product descriptions for Green Bell nail products. This indicates that the Green Bell nail clippers are part of the Takumi no Waza/Artisans of the Sword series, which means that they are crafted with the same attention to detail that used to be given to samurai swords. If I had known this, I would have purchased the cheaper identical option on Amazon after ensuring it was Amazon Prime and from a highly rated seller to try to ensure that the item is not a fake.

Just what I needed
I bought this item, having read the reviews. I’m very happy with it, and hope and expect it to last a long time. Yes, it’s pricier than many others, but often it’s false economy to buy cheap. We learn than from experience.
