Amazing product
I got this as a way to get rid of tampons from my cycle, my period was alwaya varied in flow and I always had to buy all the different kinds of tampons to accommodate it. I used this for my first cycle without tampons and I was scared to sleep with it at first, but it withheld my flow on my heaviest night and stayed comfortable. I'm glad to say I'll never go back to tampons or pads again with this product.

Great for first time!
I decided to try a disk because pads and tampons are such an expense. I have issues using tampons because the way my uterus is tilted and my cervix is far back, I usually bleed around tampons, and I just don’t enjoy wearing pads, they’re uncomfortable and don’t sit in place while I am active in any way, or even sleeping.I ordered the shordy 2 pack because it was my first time using any reusable menstrual product. I have a pretty light flow (i can’t even fill a light tampon in 6 hours) but I also have a very high cervix and I’ve had a baby. I tried the small one first, being that I have such a high cervix, it wasn’t opening correctly which led to continuous leaking. I decided to try the larger one. This one opened up correctly pretty much immediately for me. I used it for 2 days and got confident in removing it. I realized I wasn’t using the stem at all and it was really just there for peace of mind. Well, I decided to remove the stem because it was sort of uncomfy. First time I tried to remove it without the stem, I realized it was kind of just “spinning” around and not really coming out, it was almost suctioned. I kept trying throughout the day and squatting, relaxing. I ended up going to the er because it was actually stuck behind my cervix. Word of advice: I would not remove the stem if you have a high cervix 🤣I do think the shordy brand is a wonderful affordable option for first timers wanting to invest in reusable menstrual products. I love the option and the affordability of the 2 pack. If you’re not sure if disks will work for you and you don’t want to invest too much your first time, this is definitely the right set to go with. I am recommending this set to everyone, even my nurses that were super intrigued at my visit 🤣

Good alternative to tampons. Read for advice on removal
I was using the flex disc before. So this will be a comparison.I have normal to light periods that usually have about only one day of "heavy" flow.Pros:-I like the color and the bag that comes with it.-Good for the environment and no risk for Toxic Schock Syndrome.-It includes a pull tab for easier removal (more about that later)-Easy to clean.-Good price-No leaks for me after I wore it for like 10 hours.Cons:-It feels a little "thick" compared to Flex Disc, but as long as you got it inserted properly, then you wont feel it.-You can kinda feel the pull tab. I didnt have sex with this one (the flex disc i did) because i felt he would be able to feel it. Also, honestly I didnt really want it. I cut it shorter assuming I could just use my finger, but it doesnt have a little dip on the rim where you can scoop it out like the flex disk kind of does. So I struggled to get it out. The tab will stretch and slip out of your fingers so I had to use toilet paper when gripping it as to not slip. Ended up being messier than i would like. Alos, instead of just inserting it, you have to actually position and center the tab in the front middle which can be a little annoying if it is off center once inserted.-It didnt hold as much as I would like for as long, but It does the job.I am overall satisfied, but I will be going back to the flex disc.***NOTE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE STRUGGLED TO REMOVE DISCS"I went through this when i first started using the flex disc and OMG i was terrified I would never be able to get it out. What you need to remember is dont leave it in for TOO long because once its full and youre trying to remove it, it leaks out and makes everything slippery to pull out. What you do is lean a little foreward get in there, BREATHE, and act like you are trying to push a baby out (or like going number 2 on a difficult day lol). Contract and push, and you will feel it being slightly pushed out. Using your middle finger with a scooped hand to reach underneath the rim and pull it out. Push like your life depended on it and youll get it out.

Love this!
Love love love this menstrual disc. I got the small one as I have a very low cervix and fits perfectly. I cut the string off as I can easily get it out. (Do not cut the string until you are comfortable with using these!!!) I like to toggle between the cup (which is better for working out) and the disc for my everyday use. Be warned that if you push down, it can *auto dump* which is why I wear a cup for weight lifting! But for everyday use for my job, it is a lifesaver. And I don't have to worry about changing it in public because you can wear it up to 12 hours. I can work an 8 hour workday and have plenty of time to make it home. I do like that it won't slap you as the cup sometimes does. Can't feel a thing once inserted correctly. I always dreaded that time of the month because of having to shove a cotton wad inside or sit in a sweat/blood filled pad that stinks!! Those days are thankfully gone. I am obsessed with the cup and disc!
