Visual Notes for Architects and Designers 2nd Edition

My son is a Landscape Architecture student studying abroad in Rome and found this book helpful for his many drawings.

An excellent source with the philosophy of visual notes and sketches. It is written from the Architect's perspective, and so misses some of the business uses. There is lots of good resource material though.

I especially like the feeling conveyed by a place and it's sense of history conveyed in the example illustrating the town of Urbino, Italy.

nice book, and it is a brand new book. I am actually on the architecture class and it is useful.

what I expected

Good book to have and is as advertised.

The information in the book is basic, but quite well thought out and clear. My main bug bear is that this is a cheaply produced book on poor quality paper with a HUGE and unreasonable price tag. It's been on my wish list for a year, and I was so disappointed. I've never bought art books on a kindle before because the tactile nature and production of art books is usually good. If you want it, buy it for Kindle. I wish I had.
