Disappointing
I used this filter material in the filter of my tropical freshwater aquarium. I had a problem with green water algae infestation and after 5 days of use it had not made any difference. I then added a flocculant to the water and within a day the suspended algae had gone.Its good quality material but over priced especially as it does not filter as efficiently as the manufacturer claims.

Good to keep water clean
Definite work with small particles, just be sure to rinse it well before use it.

Works great
I used thia to cut and fit in a biocube 16g. Works great to trap fine particles. Was using fluval quick clear , but those got a little expensive so tried this instead and works just as well.

Add it if you are struggling for a clear tank
I have a 36-gallon tank with three goldfish, and they are dirty! Plus, because they are so adorable, I overfeed them. I added Aquatic Experts Aquarium Polishing Filter Pad along with my other filtration system, and I finally have a clear tank.
