Ergonomics that make you forget you are wearing them plus more battery life and lower price make these a steal for TomTom users.
Bought these to replace an earlier pair which I lost at the airport due to TSA hassling. It took losing them to fully realize how much I had come to like them. Mostly they are paired with my TomTom exercise watch. I primarily listen to podcasts but their sound is good enough to fully enjoy the music feature of the TomTom -- and pairing them with my cell phone is no problem either. The battery life does seem to be 1-2 hours longer than the earlier ones but otherwise they seem identical -- which is a good thing. (NB: I haven't yet tried out the coaching feature.) It takes awhile to understand what the various buttons do -- that could and SHOULD be much better documented -- but after the initial learning curve they provide a good operational flexibility, though I still miss the fast forward and double time listening features that I had on the iPod Nano. Still, the ergonomics and sound quality are first rate. Considering that the price has come down considerably since the first pair I bought, it was an offer I couldn't refuse.

A downgrade to great running headphones. Stick to the old version!
Bought these to replace my old BackBeat Fit headphones which finally died after 4 years, and was really disappointed after looking forward to this "upgrade" for quite some time. While the 2100's do look way cooler, and are ever so slightly louder, I wore them on a couple runs, and already returned them and bought another pair of the old version. No, I didn't hear the "hissing" others reported, but here's why I returned them:- FIT: The old version I often forget Im wearing they are so comfortable. With the new 2100's the parts that go around my ear seem to pinch slightly, and they're just not something I want to wear for extended periods of time. While I'm not sure there is a big difference in the actually pieces that go in your ear, my old ones seem to feel better when I put them on the 2100s, but maybe that's just because they're older and have gotten softer?- CONTROLS: The controls are the #1 reason I am returning these headphones. They are absolutely awful. Volume goes down fine (press and hold on left ear), but good luck trying to get it to go back up by tapping on the left ear during a run. As someone who runs in the city and frequently changes the volume during a run depending on different areas I'm running in, this is an absolute dealbreaker. I found myself constantly having to use the volume controls on my phone, which I don't ever want to have to touch during a run. Even trying to teach myself to do this at home, I could rarely get the volume to go all the way up, and certainly not easily or quickly.Furthermore, there now seems to be a slightly longer delay between button presses and the action being taken on the phone. For instance, if I want to pause my music, there seems to be a significant lag between me tapping the headphones, and the music actually stopping (when compared to the old BackBeat Fit). The app to change the actions of the left taps is useless to me. I already use an app to track my runs, I don't need to tap to start a timer, and doubt almost any would use this functionality. And if you -do- add an action to the left, you lose volume control functions. Who would use this?! Why not use it for custom tap controls or something? Ugh.- AUDIO FEEDBACK: As many have reported, the voice which tells you headphones are on, the volume is at max, etc, has degraded in quality significantly. This is a very bizarre change, and doesn't really "matter" in the grand scheme of things, but when you're thinking these are an upgraded iteration of a model of headphones, it is weird to have such a significant reduction in quality. Music itself I do believe plays slightly louder in this model versus the old ones, but definitely not enough to be worth an upgrade considering the drawbacks. If you're looking for volume, you probably want isolating headphones anyway.Already got a new pair of the old model "training editions," and while the earpieces may not be that sexy black chrome– they are comfortable, all the buttons work effortlessly, and the audio sounds great.

Comfy, sweatproof, and great sound.
I bought my first version of these 2 years ago. This is my 1st replacement so these are here for the long haul folks. (I only replaced because the little pull out from the USB charger insert broke and I accidentally pulled the wires.)For a bluetooth headphone, the sound is perfect. (I love the bass and clarity of phone calls.) Easy and quick USB 2.0 charge with 6 hour listening time if fully charged.Buttons for music and call control are pretty nifty too.I recommend these for the sweatiest of the sweaty, as they can take it.*UPDATE*These turned out to not be as durable as the previous version I purchased. After about a year of responsible use, the same issue occured with the pull out from the USB charger insert. That along with the "nifty" call and volume control buttons completely broke off leaving the electrical components exposed.I'm really disappointed, I still love the sound quality, but they just aren't as durable as previous versions. I will be looking to purchase another brand that is more durable for workouts.

Returned after failure; replacement also defective
I returned this product after a few months for warranty service. The sound quality degraded, despite what I felt to be pretty good care of the headphones on my part, given that they are advertised to be used for an "active lifestyle". I use them at the gym and for an occasional jog but keep them clean and dry. The sound quality of the first pair seemed to become garbled and muddy after some months of use.The bigger disappointment is that the replacement set sent from Plantronics had a clear defect associated with the left ear-speaker ... noticeably quieter than the right ear-speaker and also garbled.I thought Plantronics made nice things ...

Love Them!!
I bought the Plantronics BackBeat FIT Training Edition Sport Earbuds because I have had issues with just about every type of earbuds/headphones due to my sensitive ears. The Plantonics were great. I have no ear pain issues and they fit great. Also the sound is very high quality and it last a LOOOOONG time. Had no issues with synching to my phone or using any of the buttons. I also loved getting them for $130 less than my previous set of headphones. Good stuff!!!

Incredible for exercise
I have had over 5 of these headphones over many years as they eventually faded - sometimes I got warranty replacements so I think I've only bought them 3 times. They are incredible - they last nearly 2 years on average with daily use and you nearly forget they are in. They stay in and can handle heavy sweat and movement, not the best sound quality for calls and 8/10 for music, but you get bose over ear headphones for that. You can hear around you still even when music is bumping which is incredible for safety too!
