Continental MTB - Tyre Traffic II 2.1

I've had one of these on my rear wheel for a while, and bought this to finally get a pair.I mostly ride on roads, but quite often find myself in mud or on rough tracks, and these are much better at coping with the occasional off road than the tyres that came with my bike.I remain pleased!

Awesome tires. I have mountain bike which is primarily used to commute and get around town on roads and paved cycle track which these tires excell at... silent smooth and rolling free with very little friction (or so I perceive, bike seems alittle more nifty). Also on the odd occasion i take a wilder bike out they also perform well in muddy wey conditions. Certainly better than the factory tires the bike came with. If your bike use sounds similar to mine i suggest you buy these.

Good product. The tyre is of a relatively hard compound and so I am hoping it is going to last well. It rolls very fast and quiet on tarmac which is a relief as I can cover longer distances, but I was quite surprised how well it grips off road as well- I have been up and down several steep grassy hills in the wet, gravel and mud and it clings relatively well. On top of all this it looks quite good, although more tyre markings would have been nice. It is important to have this tyre inflated towards the top end of the permitted pressure rance to enable smooth road rolling. My only minor gripe is that I was despatched the latest (2009) edition of the tyre which looks very different to the picture of it, but that isn't a problem simply because it is better! To sum up, I highly recomment this tyre, but especially in the wider varieties (2.1"+).
