Informative and well written

Quality book. Clearly written and enjoyable to read. Covers the vast majority of construction elements. Can be a little too brief and further research of individual topics may be required.

Great book, useful for MCIOB

Really helpful to have to refer back to. Has info on everything I’ve needed so far. Easy to understand and v informative.

The 13th edition is still a very good book to have. The volume has been reduced somewhat, even though it's been padded out with info on current methods of building practice. I think the parts of the sections which have been omitted aren't necessarily essential & therefore not overly worth bothering about. - if you already own previous editions, you can always find those things there. The up to date construction details are very useful for professionals & others looking into the building industry alike. The newly laid out reading format takes a moment to get used to, if you have previous editions, but it does make sense after a short while. All in all a great building systems & design reference book.

I had a version of this book from 20 years ago and wanted to get a understanding of current practice, it does that well Lots of drawings that explain how things should be done Would recommend

I was building a house and I needed to understand the building process. This book is excellent. It’s the only book that you need.
