UPDATE: 2+ years later > I now have 44 of these, purchased here as well as eBay, and they are 'holding' up beautifully! It would have been rather nice though if they were available in a few other colors - oh well ...

Good quality case. Hard plastic like an old school video rental store. I use them for my NES games. They can be a bit finicky to get closed if not lined up just right but that's a minor annoyance. Games will not fit with a dust sleeve on without forcing it but they don't need to be in dust sleeves in these cases. Also you can only really see the front label with the case on. You can't read the top label of the game very well when closed up. Other than that, these are great.

I have about 10 of the original Nintendo labeled cases and these are made to the same specs. They aren’t intended for display as they are designed to keep the cartridge safe from dust and contamination. Every cartridge I buy usually has me doing a disassemble and cleaning of the brass pins. These cases will help keep the dust and whatnot out of them that causes the pins to tarnish so I don’t have to do it again. As for labeling I will be using a label maker that uses tape to label all of mine. I give these a 10/10 and will definitely buy more.

TLDR: Best current option for an NES cartridge hard case solution, and almost the same as the original ones 25 years ago.I'll say this, the packaging for these was almost overkill - individually cardboard packaged. You'd have thought they were made of glass or something! Anyway, the actual cases work like a charm. They are almost identical to the plastic hard cases I got waaaaay back when the NES was still kickin' as the current console.However, much like other reviewers have stated, these are NOT the same as the old school ones. The tabs are not hooked and do not "Snap together" as the product description states. There is no snapping. Friction/tension is the only force keeping these closed, and the lack of a feature noted in the description is enough for me to drop a star...but just one, because that said, these cases do stay closed just fine so far, and they do feel just as sturdy as the ones from some 25 years ago. You're probably not going to find a better solution on the market today for your old NES games.

Love these cases for the Original NES game cartridges. They seem to be of the same quality as the ones that were released back in the "hay-day" of NES. Good thick plastic and they fit the NES cartridge. A Great plus if you want to protect your Retro games.

I have the same complaints that a few other people had. There is nothing but friction keeping the cases closed. It would have been ridiculously easy to add a little detent or lip on the tongue to keep them closed. Unfortunately there aren't many options when it comes to cases so this is probably still the best out there, but it's not perfect. The plastic is clear enough that you can just barely make out the game labels if you look closely. It would be nice if there were blank labels in the package, however. Overall they are probably your best option, but a little pricey for something that could use a few improvements.***I bought another 3 packs of these. My original gripe still holds true, but as I said, they are still the best option for the money. I just wish they were a little better.

I got these to use with my Everdrive N8 and N8 Pro. They're great for the times I need to take the carts over to a friend's house and not need to worry about the carts getting scratched and dinged when I pack them up and transport them.

Seem well made and they were packaged nicely. I wish they had sleeve on the spine at the very least to put a name card or cover on
