Great battery from a great company
Their instructions are awesome. I’m a fairly handy tech repair DIY kind of guy, but I really needed and appreciated the precise instructions on this job. You can tell that this company spent a considerable amount of time on their documentation, which is quite rare these days. One thing to note : the battery logic board cable on this new one was, for me at least a bit too long. It does arch upward even with the sticky tape. I don’t think it will affect anything in the long term, but just something to note.I hope this battery lasts, and it seems like it will. It’s not a 60 minute job, at least not for me. It took a good 3-4 hours total including prep and cleanup.I also removed the trackpad prior to removing the old battery. I highly recommend you do this so that you don’t damage the expensive track pad while trying to muscle the old battery out using alcohol and brute force.Take your time and you’ll be fine.

Great Product
First battery has a visible bad pin on the battery cable which they sent a new battery and received it in two days. Installation is a breeze and my MacBook pro is back working without the need if being plugged in 24/7!

Fairly easy to do
So far the battery is functioning as expected. Took about an hour (be organized with the screws you remove) Love having my computer so I don't need to be tethered to an outlet! Kinda wish I would have done this sooner. I was unable to use it without being plugged in for some time and thought it wasn't necessary to fix right away. That was until the battery started to swell and put my computer at risk of fracturing something (motherboard, case, screen) This is way less expensive than going to a repair shop but the savings come with risk, though slight. You don't want to touch anything on the motherboard or force any of the wire clips open. They should come open easily. If you watch the video, it'll be a breeze. Don't skip the "backup" step. There are a lot of stories from those who did and regretted it.

Amazing battery and tools necessary for easy replacement
My MBP was down to 5% max battery and would shut off if I unplugged. This battery replacement was amazing and had all the tools I needed to switch it out. I will say one thing… be VERY CAREFUL when prying up the two middle sections of the battery (photo is of the two middle battery sections) as there are circuits underneath. I dumbly didn’t realize this (skipped through that part of the video so my fault) and nicked the left sensor for the trackpad. I was terrified I had messed everything up but finished replacing the battery and put it all back together. The trackpad surprisingly still works but I can definitely tell that it’s not 100% sensored like it used to be (doesn’t click well on the right side and can be a bit finicky sometimes now). Like I said, that was 100 my fault so wanted to warn everyone to be really careful on the two middle sections when prying up the battery (don’t dig with the corner of the prying tool, only stay flush with the surface of the MBP. The sensors sit below the surface so you’re fine as long as you don’t dig with the edge of the prying tool. Feel free to dig as much as you like with the left and right sides of the battery as there are no sensors there. Just the two middle sections where you need to be careful). Other than that, probably took around an hour and 15 for me to swap it out and the new battery is lasting me around 4 hours of heavy usage battery time! I’ll take that over 0 minutes of battery time! I highly recommend!

Ran into a no power issue
The media could not be loaded. After following the tutorial, my MacBook would not power on. After an hour of frustrated thoughts, I came back with a cool head. I had to tighten the battery connector screw more than I already had (the biggest screw during the installation) and I did not put the battery connector cover back and it turned on just fine. I am going to see if the battery life is better, but my MacBook doesn't say that the battery needs to be serviced anymore. My battery definitely needed replacing. It had began to swell, but due to the design of the laptop, I couldn't even tell that it began to swell in the first place!

Great kit
The package itself was awesome and had absolutely everything needed to replace the battery. For that this kit it top notch. Note that I did update my review - watch the video they have posted as it details out the replacement. I originally used a video off of youtube and it was a bit off. This kit has everything you need except tiny fingers. I did not replace my battery yet as I had originally made a mistake and just put everything back together and my original battery seems ok again. Just make sure to watch their video as the macbook has a few quirks in replacing the battery and they did a great job with the video, including telling you which size tool to use. my serial is C02V44x3htd6. 15in MacBook Pro 2017
