Can you use this for Hamsters

This is not sawdust, they are quite large wood flakes. They are fine for my guinea pigs but dont absorb as much as regular would do.

Is this suitable for pet rats ?

Oh yes! Very much so. It is phenomenal just how much these shavings keep odours down... my only advice would be that if you suffer from asthma, these might make you asthmatic! Also, certain rats can get sneezy on them too. But, on the whole they’re great and most folks get on really well with them.

Yes it can but please be aware that the individual shavings are quite large as it is manufactured for stables

Arrived damp and unusable. Smell like chemical/petrol

Review updated from 1 star to 5 star after below issue was resolved promptly and refund offered by seller. Very good communication and resolution met quickly.Product usually really good, however, upon opening the woodshavings today after doing a complete change out of my guinea pigs cage. The shavings are damp and unstable. The inside of the bag has a wet residue that smells like petrol. I'm unable to return via the returns process with amazon due to the product packaging and weight and it seems impossible to be able to speak to someone to resolve. Have had to purchase emergency shavings to allow my guinea pigs to use their cage putting me more out of pocket. Unhappy in this occassion. Have contacted seller seller awaiting feedback.

Good stuff but very large shavings for a 2 bird budgie cage

I read the reviews before I purchased but I was still a bit surprised by the size of a lot of the shavings. Great for substrate for something, I would say, a bit larger than what I needed it for. Promptly delivered.

Not for chickens

Flakes are too big, not absorbent enough, and to much dust. For chickens. But to be fair they are sold for horses and feels fine for this.
