As I want this for home use.. I dont want anything costly. This is very economical. I caliberate the same with icebath method and it gaves accurate temperature.. So for me it is precise and easy to use.

Product and manufacturer packing is good, but the seller did worst packing, just put one small paper on the manufacturer packing box and send.. outer box was almost damaged , luckily the product is not damaged..

Received it on the 31st of Jan. Worked fine the couple of time that I used it. Today(27th feb) I tried using it again and it isn’t even turning on. Thought maybe the battery was loose and checked and it’s fine. Can’t be that the battery is drained cause it’s a new one and I have barely used the device. Has been in the sleeve it comes with and the box ever since I got it. Out of the replacement window and not sure what to do now. Didn’t expect this is from inkbird.

I LOVE the ease of use and the accuracy! With the push of a button I could set it from Celcius to Fahrenheit. It locks in the temperature for me to read it. I believe it also has a memory but I don't use that. I have bearded dragons and leopard geckos I use this for. Going from enclosure to enclosure, I don't need it to remember.Bearded dragons require a temperature gradient, so they need one end warm, and one end cooler within a certain temperature range. They need to be able to get up higher within the warm end to reach peak temperature within that range and to be able to get down low on the other end away from it as well as a cave there, but not have it too cold. They can't be too cold at night, either.That's where this temp gun is very important! I found out that some of the fixtures they could get up on were getting too hot and they could get burned. Sometimes they don't feel the temperature creeping up, so they don't react right away. Thankfully my bearded dragons had been staying in the middle range, but had they been cold and got up there to warm up, they might not have noticed how fast it was heating up once the heat started from above from the lights. The previous temperature reader I had was not this accurate!Just keep the laser away from their eyes for safety, and don't point at shiny or reflective surfaces or it won't get a true reading.Please save your reptiles and other animals (for their enclosure, do not to take their temperature with it), and get this temp gun!This can also be used for other projects that require you to know the surface temperature.

Accurate temperature readings

The media could not be loaded. This thing is awesome. In the video you can see I’m pointing it at the actual heating element, then getting the ambient temperature of the room and then going back too close proximity to the heater which is getting the actual reading the heater is on. I also used it yesterday for making some RSO. So far it seems accurate and I’ve been having fun using it. There are so many applications that this could be used for besides in the kitchen. Want to check your kids temperature no problem. Want to check the temperature under the hood of your car before you start working on stuff, Also no problem. This thing is pretty dang cool!

Works good

When I first received this temp gun my two teenage children argued over who got to keep it to play with it. After a few days of walking around the house taking the temperature of everything the novelty of it wore off to them and I was finally able to get it back.You never realize how many things you can use this for until you have it. It makes it easy to check the temperature around your windows and doors to know which ones have potential air leaks. I used it to see if a pump on my aquarium was running hotter than it should. I also now know where the hot spots on my gas griddle are. If you’re into working on cars I’ve used these temp guns in the past to see if any components on the car are over heating, like the brake discs.I have used a few different brands of temp guns in the past and this one is comparable to the others. Point the gun at what you want to know the temperature of and pull the trigger. When I received my temp gun I changed it to Fahrenheit but otherwise I didn’t mess with any setting because I didn’t need to.The few things that I roughly knew the temperature of I got reasonable reading with this temp gun so it seems to be accurate. The quality of the item seems on par with all of the other ones I’ve used. I would trust InkBird over any other brand in this price range. InkBird is well known in the aquarium industry for temperature controllers, which I have been using some of them for years with no issues.
