I love this light rolling pin. Its compact size makes it convenient for any kitchen. The appearance is simple and sleek. After rolling out dough, everything bakes evenly and cooks perfectly. Now, I don’t often get emotionally involved with kitchen implements—but this wooden rolling pin has rather won me over.First things first: it rolls. Beautifully. Effortlessly. Like a well-delivered anecdote that doesn’t outstay its welcome. No sticking, no awkward jolting—just a gentle, confident glide across the dough. You find yourself thinking, “Ah… this is how it’s meant to be.”The wood itself feels reassuringly solid. Not too heavy, not too light—like a perfectly judged impression. There’s a certain understated charm to it as well. No flashy gimmicks, no unnecessary flourishes. It just gets on with the job, quietly and competently… which, frankly, is more than can be said for most of us.I’ve used it for everything from pastry to pizza, and it hasn’t complained once. Which is more than I can say for my wrists.All in all, a dependable, elegant bit of kit. If you’re after a rolling pin that delivers without fuss or fanfare, this is your man. Or rather… your cylinder.

I decided that whilst an old wine bottle has served me well for a number of years I should really get myself a wooden rolling pin again.This is a very nice rolling pin and just the right length for my preference.I might have liked a bit larger diameter like we used to have back in the old days, but this is good enough and not like those thin 'brush handle' ones.I had no problem whatsoever getting the label off, lift from a corner and it just peeled away.Gave the pin a quick wash and rub down with a cloth, left it to dry then brushed it all over with cooking oil to give it a bit of colour and a seal.It's wood so it will pick oils up from the dough as you use it, but why not give it a good start?

This rolling pin is cheap and good quality. However, the sticker they put on the rolling pin leaves a yukky gluey residue on the rolling surface that is hard to wash off. It would be nice if the packaging was more of a “sleeve”, or if it was fixed to a cellophane wrapper that was fully removable instead.
