Spring is not strong enough to provide the force necessary to fire blank. Not recommended for purchase. May take the advise from others and make the striker more pointed, too flat.

The warning trip pin was missing in one of the boxes and a broken drill bit was in the box. (unknown why)The basic trip mechanism was ok but unable to use with the missing pull pin.

It works as it should.

The mainspring in this device is not nearly strong enough to detonate a standard 12 guage primer. Loaded with fiocchi target max 12 gauge shell (projectiles removed for safety), cocked and released. The primer showed a pinprick dimple, but no detonation at all.

The media could not be loaded. I like the fact that it seems well made and pretty simple to use except to make it actually is set off a shotgun shell you have to remove the firing pin mechanism and grind it down to a sharp point for it will actually set the shotgun shell off

As others stated, it dose not work out of the box, but i pulled the firing pin out and drilled a new hole for the trip pin, giving it about a half inch more throw and it works now. Firing pin is stainless and was a pain to drill with a press, wouldn’t recommend doing this if you dont have a drill press.
