It says not to dry them in a dryer. What would happen if I do?

Nothing happens to them. I wear a 36 but buy these in a 34. They have a lot of stretch. They do not deform as one person answered. I wash mine in hot water and high heat drying. These are great pants. Comfy for sure.

Info says 98% cotton 2% spandex

Are these American or European sizes?

American sizes. Looser the next day than the Levi equivalent however I do recommend them as a 2nd option.
