I purchased these as another person had said they worked well on an old Land Rover. My Defender is 22 years old and the original bolts still hold the axles on. They are severely rusted and were all rounding or snapping off requiring me to drill them out and rethread them. Replacing my calipers turned from a 2 hour job into a 3 week job.These have been an absolute life saver.

This tool set has proven itself invaluable on several occasions already! They grip even the most rounded bolt heads and gently twist them off with a little bit of penetrative oil to assist. Can also lightly hammer a slightly smaller size on to get a good grip on a stubborn bolt.

These will soon pay for themselves in time saving.I Used smaller sizes on lots of bolts underneath. All were rounded off. These just bite into what's left of the head and amazingly extract them.The spiral/teeth have a more aggressive geometry than some extractors, I have of a known brand. Therefore they work better.I also like how the sizes of common small sizes go up in 0.5mm increments.Which helps give you another option if the head is really rounded off.

If you're reading this... just get it. They are strong and have a wide support for bolt. I've used this kit a lot and even keep it in the boot with my car tool kit. It's so good I bought one for my neighbour to thank of for giving me a hand. He's has every tool under the sun but didn't have this. Quality

I spent hours trying to free a never unfastened nut and bolt on a 14-year-old car on Saturday. Even after plenty of WD40, open spanners were no good, ring ones neither, grips couldn't touch it and what started as a nut was rounding off and looking more like a thick washer. I resorted to trying to drill the nut and snapped the drill bit. After what too long I gave up. Then I saw this, which I ordered yesterday and came today; first time I have used one of them and I was doubtful. I thought the thing would shear with the force required or else just do a better job of re-shaping the nut. Delighted to be wrong the thing was off in no time. Wish I had ordered it at the start.

Not great. 19mm extraction socket broke after first use. I followed the instructions and it broke. Luckly I was not hit by the flying part.Please wear eye protection.
