On of the springs in our sofa snapped and it pretty much rendered it unusable, I live in a rented place so buying a new sofa was not an option for us. I found these, they arrived very quickly. I was able to remove the broken spring with pliers so I didn't have to use the brackets. I found them a little tricky to install, just to stretch them far enough to slide in the bracket as I need to stretch them about an inch. I managed and now have a fully functioning sofa again, saved me so much time and hassle trying to come up with another option, plus I have 4 spare springs in case another breaks. The only thing I'll note is that they are slightly thinner than original so I'll be being careful with it. It's not an issue for me and I'm so happy that I was able to find a solution that actually repaired the problem. Great!

Be aware that, if you are buying these to repair a chair or sofa from underneath you will have to purchase additional, stronger brackets. I tried with the brackets provided and they bent badly after only one day. Obviously, if the original brackets are still in good condition you may not have to do this. Personally, I was adding new springs to a couple of couches that had only webbing underneath. I got a great result by using these springs combined with some made for purpose repair brackets, which, dare I say it, I purchased from E Bay. Just type in Zig Zag Spring Repair Brackets. You can see immediately that these are great, strong brackets and, together with the springs, they have given my sofas a new lease of life. Hope this helps.
