Ideal ...?
My Carers are not too keen on these sachets (ripping one open with rubber gloves on is not always easy), but I am: they are NICELY PORTIONED! Urged to get "something better," I purloined the 500g tub version @ an hefty £16+ price tag. This is, shall we say, liberally applied and consequently I am irritatingly stuck to the inco sheets am sitting/laying on, making getting at and scratching any itch or tickling a bloody drag. I tell you, A Chap should have free access to his own backside - IT'S A UNIVERSAL LAW, FSS! [By the by, I pay for the inco sheets, too, grrr....] A mere three weeks later the tub was down to its last smears and I baulked at having to fork-out another £16+ so soon. Opted instead for 2 x TENA ProSkin Barrier Cream 150ml tubes @ £5.99 each. They'll go through these rather quickly, too, so I shall still prefer the sachets. After all, they are only greasing my botty, for Frith's sake ...!

Useful to have around for when needed.
Every so often my skin around my feet will dry out completely, no idea at all why and up until now just something that I put up with. Not anymore, I had cause to use it recently after being rushed to hospital and then returned home whereupon I discovered my feet had dried out completely again, so I opened one of the sachets and expected to need another as it seemed quite small. No, you definitely do not need another, it applies well and did not leave me feeling sticky and horrible and there was more than enough and probably too much for my feet, so I did up around my ankles as well where it can also be a little weather-beaten.Have to say that I am quite impressed, they did not chaff or cause me any friction issues and it actually seemed to help as my feet became quite moisturised but never got sticky and wet so I was able to keep wearing my crocs without issue.£14 for twenty sachets seems like a decent price now I know it works for me and because it happens infrequently, I now have plenty of spares to last as long as I need them.

Large sachets
This is a box of 20 sachets of barrier cream - and they are large sachets. I am used to using small ones for individual use in a hospital setting - these sachets contain about 4 times the amount of barrier cream. That may or may not be a good thing - obviously less packaging, but if you are using these when travelling, you need to be able to store the remaining cream somewhere safe (you can obviously turn over the top of the sachet, but if pressure is put on it, it might be squeezed out). On the plus side it's better for the environment to not use so many plastic lined sachets.Onto the barrier cream itself - it is thick and creamy and easy to apply. Useful for young and old, to prevent nappy rash and bedsores. They are useful to have around, and for travelling, so you don't need to take a tub of cream - but it is an expensive way to buy barrier cream.

A little goes a long way.
I have very dry skin on my forearms - it's quite scaly. Whenever I use a cream to moisturise my arms they look great but by the next morning they are back to their usual dry, scaly, dusty looking selves. Not this morning!Last night after I had a shower I used a small amount of this cream on my arms - a little went a very long way. The cream was absorbed very easily and left a pleasant sheen, my arms felt smooth and there was no discernible scent to the cream at all. Today almost 16 hours later my forearms still look good, no dry, scaly dustiness. Result.I estimate that using the cream on my forearms alone one sachet will last the best part of a week, which is excellent value. My legs also get quite dry and scaly so they're next for the treatment.Really pleased with this cream. I think the key to success is to use a small amount and rub in well - you can always apply more if you feel you need it. Little and often, little and often.
