Used this almost all day and it was still sharp.

I use this to cut an indentation to mount my bowls to a Nova Woodchuck. Works perfect. I cut countless downs with it now. Cuts a perfectly smooth area. Occasionally I use a chisel to clean up a missed spot.

The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is that I don't know how long they will hold up. I suspect they will last as long as my Freud bits but can't be sure. I have to say that they appear to cut just as smoothly and fast though. Hate giving more money to China, but until we start producing more stuff in North America...

I need this huge 2 5/8 bit for 16 holes in a project. It's very sharp, made nice clean sharp edges.

The drill bit arrived in a nice sturdy reusable container and was the exact size I needed. It cut thru both hardwood and plywood with ease. As with all forstner bits it produced a lot of chips but that's expected.Overall, I'm very happy with the tool and the seller and would recommend both to a friend.

The media could not be loaded.  I was drilling holes in 2x4s for deck railing balusters. I tried a spade bit and an auger bit first. The spade was slow even on the drill press. The auger was faster but left very jagged holes. This is quick and fast. I drilled around 100 holes with it and it was still going strong.

This bit works fine. Not shaped like conventional Forster bits but it does the job. I used it to cut sockets for fitting small silicone rubber feet on the bottom of custom cutting boards.

I've used many forstner style bits over the years of many different sizes. I got this one for candle recesses in oak for wall sconces I'm making. This bit was used in a drill press where many other forstner bits have been used. This bit, on first use right out of the package, was completely dull. It barely cut the wood and instead it chipped the wood out and stalled multiple times instead of shaving the wood as it was cutting. This was tried on multiple different speeds as well. My recommendation would be to spend your money elsewhere.

the first time i used the 2 1/2 i wouldnt even look like drilling a piece of wood dont make the same mistake i did try another brand

I used this in a drill press to recess some puck lights in a poplar headboard. It did the job but a sawtooth Forstner would have made a cleaner hole. This thing left more shavings than sawdust but I can’t return it now.
