This was a gift for a young person, she absolutely loved it.

Avoid pressing too hard and be sure to flour the pastry. You want to lightly emboss rather than roll out, or the pastry will clog up the carving. Get the pastry as rolled out as you need and then just run this over lightly - it's not a rolling pin. Get it right and the biscuits look very professional. Also, the design will get a little blurry once the biscuits are cooked.
