I got them because I got a bite in bed one night and it was from the big spider perched on my shoulder. I have been trying to catch as many as possible prior to buying the traps and putting them out the windows but they seemed to come back in again with their bigger and scarier friends. Think spider Mafiosa. In order to avoid having to get them their own settee and TV due to their intimidation tactics every night when they sauntered across the floor, outstarring me, I had to resort to the traps. I wouldn't post the pics because I still felt cruel capturing them but I have to be honest and say that the traps definitely definitely work...well...very well indeed.....as in there is now the odd web in the house compared to previously when our house was covered in webs almost as big as hammocks.
