The Magic of M.C.Escher

Very comprehensive coverage of the works of this unique artist. I particularly liked the inclusion of working drawings in addition to the more familiar images. Very large format that allows the large reproduction of images that brings them to life. Smashing!

I was interested in the work of escher after listening to Alan Watts discuss the nature of human attention. M c escher magically plays with background and foreground. It is fascinating to understand how we all function depending on where our focus lies. Thankyou to m c esher and the producers of this collection.

Great book, comprehensive and informative

I bought this book as a gift for a teacher - Escher is his favourite artist. The book is absolutely beautiful - a wonderful variety of pictures of his work, illustrations of early sketches and how he created his special style. A must buy for any Escher enthusiasts or students.

Wonderful book with amazing pull-out sections showing the work of v nicely.

The most comprehensive coverage of his work that I have seen. Includes many of his working drawings and preliminary sketches, particularly of tessellations. Occasionally the layout of the book did not work. In some cases I would have preferred larger pictures of the whole work rather than have large pictures of details. The whole thing felt a bit disjointed.

Bought as a Xmas gift. Partner loves it. Looks good on a coffee table to dip in and out.

A very complete book containing most of his works and would highly recommend.

Great quality book. The images are printed on high quality paper and you can appreciated every detail of Escher's works thanks to the size of the book. Highly recommended
