WIDMANN - Felt Tricorne with Gold Finish, Unisex Adult, Venetian Carnival, Casanova, Nobles, Pirates, 18th, 19th century

I've bought this for a pirate fancy dress costume and it's fabulous. It's a little big for me, but then I am only small. However I've discovered that if I put my bandanna on under it, the knot at the back fills the extra space and makes it a snug fit so a tip there for any who find it a bit loose. Brilliant value for money, and the crowning glory to my costume.

I bought this hat based on reviews here and because I needed one quickly therefore didn’t have much choice.I have to say it is very sturdy and should last a long time, even for a pirate! The hat brim is secured by press studs and from what I’ve read some folk had issues with them, my hat was fine and the press studs did stay in place for me.My only issue was the head size and depth of the hat, I have a small head and found the hat quite large on me but not very deep considering it’s size. Luckily I wore my dreadlocks so those helped make my head larger for the hat to sit on, and I have to say it did stay put for the night.I found the hat quite plain as it was so I added a feather trim that I had from another event.

The hat helped me finish off my Sloth outfit from the goonies. A bit tight but I do have a big head, a part from that I would recommend getting it!

Price to quality ratio poor.Wouldn’t buy this again.

I originally got this for the 18th century look, but found that by unpressing the studs that attach the the three sides of the hat to the crown it would serve for pirates too. Good quality for the price. It's a a bit big for my head, but I use a thickish cycling skull cap and this gives a secure fit unobtrusively.

I bought this hat for a school stage production. Good quality sturdy hat. Also the braiding is well attached.

Be prepared to add packing to inside diameter

After reading some of the reviews I thought I had made a blunder and didn't expect much but how wrong I was. I think this is brilliant bang for your buck quality wise. I don't have an issue with the poppers like some have mentioned but would think a wee bit of glue to hold the poppers would work if there was a problem. Not flimsy at all looks the part and for the money I don't think you can beat it.
