25 Complex Text Passages to Meet the Common Core: Literature and Informational Texts: Grade 5

Although I bought used book, it came in like a brand new book except for the name at front. Recommended.

My Son seems to get distracted easily, and misses key explanations during class time often. This supplemental work at home helps fill in where he missed out in classwork.

Highly recommended - it's also used in the classroom of my Grade 5's.. Very useful to train up the comprehension skills and be able to elaborate answers..

A great book for practicing comprehension of 1 page fiction and non-fiction passages. Lexile levels, text based questions, and numbered lines on each text passage allow for easy assessment and text references.

5th - 7th graders find the passages entertaining and quickly learn about the literary type with the thoughtful questions. It requires the students to specifically explain how they got their answers. I'll probably end up using every selection.
