The pictures show the custom resources. Does this product come with cubes or the shown resources?

All the pieces in the images are what the game comes with. The resources in the game are cubes, and the colored cylinders that you see are actually points markers and goal markers. Hope this helps!

Is this the edition that comes with the virus expansion included or is it the new edition ($40) without the expansion?

My edition and the replacement sent by Amazon did not have the virus expansion included.
