These are as thick as a regular coin but not as heavy. The metal clinking makes a visceral sound that is much more satisfying than plastic plunking. The colors are very easy to tell apart.

I don't know how, but one of these ended up in the garbage disposal and came out with barely a scratch. They're pretty cool and my kids loves them but I didn't expect them to be so resilient!

My kid has really been into pirates and treasure lately. I bought him a treasure chest and these gold doubloons. They look great! And the weight is perfect. If I was getting nitpicky, the only thing that I would like is to know if they can withstand the weather outside so that I can go bury his treasure. I didn't really read anything that said it could, but I guess I could just do my own field test.
