Review: Works to provide isolation for a power capacitor - I am using this in my F-150 to isolate a power capacitor from the battery. The power is used to operate an amateur radio transciever. I had it formerly wired direct to the battery but the radio would reboot when the auto stop/start restarted the engine. By running the power through the diode and adding the capacitor, that problem is solved. The power does not flow back to the battery so the power to the radio is stable. It also works to filter the power. I should have less alternator noise this way also but I have not adequately tested that yet. This was reasonably priced and works. I can recommend it.

The ratings, along with the the anode and cathode terminals, are marked on the side. I would prefer that the markings were brighter/easier to see. The base has what appears to be a stainless steel plate with quarter-inch mounting holes at each end. The width of the opening around the heads of the mounting bolts is just under half-an-inch. However, some quarter-inch hex bolts, which I tried, would not seat properly due to interference between the well and the bolt-head. Other bolts seated fine. This arrangement should work well for heat transfer to a heat sink provided suitable bolts are used. The flat and lock washers on the electrical terminal bolts are of the captive variety - Much easier to install that way. The bolt heads are hex but will accept a Phillips bit as well. All in all, a pretty decent piece.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works to provide isolation for a power capacitor

I am using this in my F-150 to isolate a power capacitor from the battery. The power is used to operate an amateur radio transciever. I had it formerly wired direct to the battery but the radio would reboot when the auto stop/start restarted the engine. By running the power through the diode and adding the capacitor, that problem is solved. The power does not flow back to the battery so the power to the radio is stable. It also works to filter the power. I should have less alternator noise this way also but I have not adequately tested that yet. This was reasonably priced and works. I can recommend it.
