From my perspective this is the best deal in notebooks for fountain pens in the industry other than Clairfontaine notebooks. They feel mostly equivalent in quality with some small differences. For example, Clairfontaine paper is typically very bright white and MD is a cream color. Clairfontaine seems to be smoother, but dry more slowly.

great quality, sturdy, beautiful paper

This is my go-to for an A4 notebook. I use them for Bullet Journaling, meeting notes and to jot down ideas and sketches for projects. I really like the feel of a pen or pencil on paper and this notebook's paper has outstanding feel. I use a variety of pens, pencils, highlighters and markers for various things and the bleed through on the pages is minimal to none with anything short of a heavy hand with a sharpie marker.I enjoy the soft cover and the ability to draw on the cover and truly make it my own.

I'm as much of a paper snob as I am of ink and pens. I recently spilled a glass of water on my journal. It rinsed off much of the ink, but it didn't damage any other pages. There's enough ghost left over that I was able to rewrite the page without too much trouble. I don't know any of my other papers would take that kind of abuse.

I really like the paper in this. I do wish that the dots were a little darker, I have to been in good lighting to see them well. I'll most likely buy this again.

Looks like a genuine Midori MD A5 Dot Grid Journal to me. It arrived undamaged complete with the index stickers.

I love the notebook, unfortunately only one of the two I bought came with a damaged cover, but these things can happen during shipping. The good thing is that I bought the “[Midori] MD notebook jacket A5” and the damage to the cover of the notebook will not be noticeable. I really love both products, and they are well worth the money.
