I'm the person that ALWAYS reads reviews but NEVER writes one... well I just HAD to for this product! I purchased a home a year ago that had this pond... It was so bad that I had no idea there were fish in it... ya. There were TWENTY. I have made more trips than I care to count to the pond store (usually in tears of frustration), and spent so much money that I literally have to stop myself from calculating because it makes me sick to my stomach... We've drained it 3 times, new liner, aerators, fountain, new pump, new filter, plants, lightened the fish load and diligently placed every product recommended... all to have it go back to crap. I decided to get this as my last dollar/effort that I was putting into this money pit before filling it in (thst may be just a bit dramatic, but that's where my head was)... I'M SO GLAD THAT I DID!!!! It took about 3 weeks... but I'm not exaggerating when I say... I woke up on morming and WHAM!! I even included my texts to my boyfriend because it was like a miracle lol

it seems to work. the one i orig. purchased wasnt packed well so top popped and some of the product leaked but thats more of a amazon shipping issue, not product issue. i think it helped clear pond

I was very skeptical that this product would work. I don't use chemicals in my pond. I have snails, crayfish, and frogs and the water has always been clean. All of a sudden despite clean filters it got dark to the point that you could only see a few inches down. Added this per the instructions and in about 4 days the water looks clear! Amazing product.

I have a trees that drop leaves, pine needles, etc in th end constantly. This powder keeps the pond water looking good. I add two scoops every every 3-4 days.

This stuff is awesome for your outdoor hydroponic setup. I currently run dutch buckets in Tampa FL and the biggest problem you will run into during warmer months is pythium and root rot etc. This was recommended to me by a University in Canada to populate the water with beneficial bacteria to out compete the bad bacteria around the root stock. Also, this helps breakdown naturally occurring dead organic material that causes problems if left unchecked.... and turns it back into a usable carbohydrate for your living plants.Best of all...its almost TOO cheap not to use. I use about 5 grams per 50 gallon nutrient swap which is probably overkill but hey its worked!If you compare it to something like a Botanicare Hydroguard this size will treat 8000 gallons of water.
