Pelican 8QT Personal Cooler & Dry Box

This was bought for my husbands daily lunches. This has been one of the most sturdiest lunchboxes he’s ever purchased. Perfect size for lunch and snacks and water jug. The top compartment is convenient for papers and items he carries everyday.The only thing he would have liked different is the ice pack is super thin. While it keeps his food cold most days, it could be a little thicker to last longer during the summer.

Latch system is great, little tricky at first but once figured out its great, I use it for atv riding and keeps ice for decent amount of time. The tray inside is nice as well as the ice pack. The dry storage fits phone and other items and are secure and dry.

Super nice. It fits a standard soda can upright underneath the little basket that insets. 8 cans can fit there. The ice pack isn’t very good at keeping the stuff on the bottom cold but it is convenient it is inset. All in all, roomie and worth it.

Nice little cooler. Keeps my water cold all day with an extra cold pack. Works well even in 100 degree weather

This is a really cool (pun) personal cooler! The dry zone on top, the basket in the main section....all really nice touches.....well-insulated......clasps are great. A far better value proposition than the four letter competition! Another observation is that, when they are not in use, this 8 qt personal cooler nestles nicely inside the 30 qt Pelican cooler I also bought....which makes for a smaller storage footprint. Highly recommended!

Well made and it looks great. Terrible as a cooler. Ice melts in this like its a plastic bag. Barely a few hours and its all melted. And that's with adding it to already cold beverages. For this cost, this is unacceptable.

Great cooler, well built. Good size for my hubs lunch. Sturdy enough to be thrown around and mistreated. As long as it’s not run over by a cement truck it should last him at least a year.

What I like:Perfect size for my needs.Secure latch.Keeps food cold pretty well, as long as you use 2 or 3 ice packs.What I don't like:Storage compartment in lid. You could maybe put a few napkins and condiment packets in it; that's about all. It is really difficult to open with one hand. I could do without it; it just adds weight and makes the cooler a little bigger.Removable ice pack in lid. It is so thin that it doesn't stay frozen very long. It just makes the lid heavier.Weight. This little cooler is heavy for its size. Not only is it heavy, it is top heavy, and easy to tip over with the lid open. The handle being integrated into the lid doesn't help.Would I buy it again? Maybe, but only because was the only cooler that I could find this size.
