Music Files That Come With Book Are a Big Plus
So far, this book has been great. still getting into deeper pages, but already the music files help a lot. after staring at tabs and running those through, it helps a lot to sort of get the message audiologically (a words!?!?) as well. and the 1980s was the time for melodic, major and minor key, big hook, big hair guitar work, which as we all know, late '70s and '80s music is still know and being played today, even though that was nearly 40 years ago. this book will help me be a better player. Appreciate the clear re-purposable licks and bite size start too. The last time i checked, i was ranked on the Official World's Greatest Guitarist's list™ at 4,394, 997, 523 out of 4,394, 997, 499 guitarists worldwide, so there is nowhere to go but up from here and this 1980s Rock Rhythm Guitar Mastery will help.

Great Book
Riffs are awesome to play and Chris also explains how they are created. I'm still working through the first chapter and the riffs sound really cool.

This Is The Book I've Always Wanted
This is the book that I've always wanted from the day I first picked up the guitar over fifty years ago. The 80s were an epochal era in rock music. It encompassed the final maturation of what we now call "classic rock", leading into the hair metal and Glam Metal bands of MTV notoriety. It was also the heyday of The New Wave of British Heavy Metal and the nascent dawn of the Thrash Metal Scene. This book captures the essence of the driving rhythm guitar parts that defined each of them.I found this book to be a departure from Chris's normal material, which mainly covers shred technique. This book is different in that it is purely about riffs, rhythms, and progressions, in other words the other 90% of what a guitarist is playing in a song. While giving you a sampling of each of the aforementioned genres he gives you the tools to understand and then create your own rhythm parts and makes it easy to understand without requiring a degree in music theory (although where an understanding of theory is necessary it is presented in simple layman's terms). The examples run from fairly easy all the way up to ones that will push your technique to it's limits. In no time at all you'll be rocking out on monster riffs with catchy hooks.

A great addition to my studies
Chris has a gift for teaching. All his books are written so well, it makes it easy to follow along. I don’t consider Chris an author of books I like to buy, but rather my guitar teacher. This book shows you many different styles of rock rhythms/riffs and most importantly teaches you how they are constructed and how to create your own. Another amazing book by Chris!!

Great books!
I have several books by Fundamental Changes. I prefer the Kindle editions for music books as it's much easier to look at a screen while playing guitar or piano than a book for myself. These books are easy to understand and the diagrams are well done. Getting the associated audio files is very easy as well. I would recommend these books to anyone learning guitar or those who want to enhance their skills.

Great quality
I've only had the book a few days but from skimming through, listening to the audio and working through the first few examples I can safely say I'm pleased with my purchase.

Great to jam with and improve your rythm skills fast.
All those musical parts are amazingly cool, all in the style of the cool 80s bands.I finished this book much faster then the solo books, but it was worth every Euro.Even a bit trash metal, but also the Van Halen or Michael Schenker parts were great.
