Very good construction. The handles are long enough to afford good control of the tool. The edges are quite sharp and cut well. There is a good selection of the common sizes and types of skews and gouges, making it a good starter set for beginners. Just experimenting with them to see what shapes they make, I had very good results on my first turning. Good value for the money.

They’re ok for the price. Not the best quality and the handle is short.

I am new of wood turning so maybe it's just the way of these things but they don't cut into hardwood very well they might just need sharpening but if that is the case they need to sharpening as soon as they got here, before I use them. I gave it a five star because it's probably me not the chisel set. I did buy some Carbide bits chisels and if you're new and doing a lot of hardwood I would recommend trying the carbide chisel first. The price was good so I went ahead and picked these up I'm sure they'll work great once they get sharpened. They did work good on softer woods.

You get what you are paying for, that said. these work very well on softer material but did dull rapidly on harder wood. they do however resharpen well. this is a really good starter set to learn both turning wood and how to properley sharpen your tools. while my next purchase will be a higher quality, for the price this is a very good set

I bought my husband a lathe for wood turning last Christmas and I also bought these to go with it. He said they were great beginners tools and he still uses them along with some others he has bought along the way.

Solid construction a little sharper would have been better
