I have had problems with itchy scalp and dandruff for a while and as I get older, my skin and scalp just get drier and itchier (aging blows!). I finally sought help from a dermatologist who prescribed me with a topical liquid to use on my scalp for the itchiness, it worked great but then I became pregnant so I needed something more natural. My derm told me to start using this since it's safe for preggies and after about 4 uses, the itchiness was around 80% better. I was thrilled because my scalp was SO itchy before, to the point where I would wake up in the middle of the night and find myself scratching my head (attractive, I know). The smell is really strong (it's tar, the small cannot be helped) but it's a small price to pay for an itch-free scalp. Try it!

I've got plaque psoriasis and this stuff really does a job on it!

Unfortunately I do not believe this is the real deal. The real stuff burns your scalp after leaving it on for a few hours. I've left this on overnight and woke up in the morning with no results. I tested both bottles and it does not seem to work for me the way other bottles have. When paying this much for a medicated shampoo you expect results.
