It was easy to remove and install once the door panel is removed with only three fasteners. The issue was this door check strap had a squeaky noise that kept getting louder. Reordered another one to replace the squeaky one. Received the reorder removed and reinstalled the second one no problem . After the fifth or sixth time opening and closing the door the same issue started. I was totally disappointed. Returned the second one for refund.Reordered another door check strap from the GM dealership for thirteen dollars more. I guess trying to save this time didn’t workout for me. Upside I have gotten really good at removing and installing this part.

Don't waste your time, there's a reason it costs half what it would from the dealer
Because it doesn't fit, the studs that go thru the door are 3/8" too far apart. If you're ok with drilling holes in your truck to fit sub-standard parts go ahead and order it. Personally, I'm heading to the dealer in the morning.
