Beautiful
This pot is beautiful. There is a lot of dust right out of the box, but I rinsed it off and it looks much better. I have not done the whole seasoning procedure to cook in it yet, it is a little bigger than I expected and very heavy. I just cook for myself so this will is too big for an everyday cooking tool. For right now I am going to use it as a bowl to store some fruit. Again, beautiful but a little big for my cooking purposes and a lot of work to maintain it. If you plan on cooking big meals and want a more natural cooking surface, I would give this a try! Beautiful pot especially for guests.

made good crusty bread!
The clay pot was larger than I expected, and it took awhile to get. It arrived with a crack/chip off the rim, even though item was well packaged. I suspect these are a more fragile item to ship.----and so forgoing the chip on the rim and pot being larger than expected, I decided to move to :Plan A--making a boule of jalapeno cheddar bread, as I've always wanted to try bread baking in a clay pot. So I researched#1 Do not wash pot with soap or chemicals(clay absorbs)#2 Initially wash pot well with water and dry#3 While bread was rising, filled sink with warm water and submerged pot 15 min, removed pot and towel dried.#4 Set pot in oven at room temp, and preheated at 400 degrees, then carefully pulled out pot and added parchment and bread to pot and baked 40 min.Bread baked this way turns out crustier. I think pot would also make good stuffing or bread pudding. I am rating this a 5 because it made absolutely delicious bread!Plan B--- If for some reason cooking didn't work--pot will make and excellent planter for succulents, it has a nice container shape.

Season it before use!
How to Season Clay Pot: Soak the pot in water for at least 8 hours or overnight would be fine. The next day, take out the soaked clay pot and dry it under the sun. After the pot has dried completed, rub oil generously on all the sides of it. Keep it in the sun again.I let mine soak in my sink for 24 hours. It sat in the sun for a day. I let it dry inside for another day. Rubbed with vegetable oil & baked at 250F for 2 hours. You do not want to skip this step because this is basically a porous terra cotta pot that needs lots of fat & oil to absorb into the textured surface. You can use this in the oven, on the grill, even directly in campfire ashes. I would not use on stove-top. Mine did have the tiniest crack on the top lip but it's only as cosmetic flaw. This was packed extremely well for shipping. Shrink wrapped & perfectly fitted foam to secure it in place. The pot does feel a bit intimidating because it's not metal but I would just keep seasoning with high fat dishes & even lard to get it thoroughly sealed before attempting naan/bread but it is definitely possible. This would be a great gift for someone who has everything, an outdoors friend or an adventurous cook. Nice housewarming gift as well. Just do not forget to season or you might have to use it for soil & plants instead. ...which is also a cute idear too! ;)

MUST SEASON!
I recently recieved the Luksyol Clay Pot for Cooking and I must say, I am quite impressed! The pot is well-made, with a sturdy and durable feel to it. It's a large pot, perfect for cooking meals for the family or for entertaining guests. What I love most about this pot is that it's handmade, which adds a touch of authenticity to my cooking. The terracotta material is unglazed, which means that it retains heat and moisture exceptionally well, resulting in perfectly cooked meals every time. The pot comes with a lid, which is essential for trapping in flavors and keeping food warm. It also has a nice, deep shape to it, which makes it ideal for cooking soups, stews, and casseroles.Overall, I would highly recommend the Luksyol Clay Pot for Cooking to anyone looking for a high-quality and authentic cooking pot. The only reason I am not giving it a full 5 stars is that it's a bit heavy and can be challenging to handle at times. However, this is a minor issue and shouldn't detract from the overall quality of the product.

Unique Rustic Clay Pot
I like that this is a true clay pot. It is attractive & sturdy, arrived in appropriate packaging, is easy to clean, and has a few “flaws” which adds to its uniqueness. This could be used for cooking though I choose to use it as a decorative pot. Come spring I plan to use it as a planter. The lid for the pot I received fit well. There was a lot of clay dust but that is to be expected with any real clay pot. The price seems fair for the quality.
