So tasty!
I am so pleasantly surprised with this! It perfect! Crispy! Even that center can be eaten, if desired. That bone is loaded with calcium and collagen. This will now become a staple for me. I am so thankful I tried it!

Cans of black bean dace, what more can you ask for? Great to try for lovers of Cantonese food where this is not available locally. I love the black bean sauce.

Husband lives these
I normally buy these when I go to the Chinese grocery store. However, the Chinese grocery store is not very close to my home. When I run out in between Grocery runs, I will go ahead and get a shipment of the sent from Amazon. They are perfect and the price is almost as good as the Chinese grocery store. if you’re someplace where you do not have access to a Chinese grocery store this is a very good alternative to get the product.

I used it to make bitter melon with fermented black-bean fish. Very good.

A new canned fish staple for my cupboard.
Good stuff, I use it for a quick meal. Serve it over rice with a little soy sauce and chili sauce. Bought a whole case of it. One can is enough for two servings over rice. Should last me a good long time.

Amazing Flavor
In addition to reading all of the positive reviews, I watched many videos of people trying these for the first time and being pleasantly surprised. And so was I. These are not soft like sardines but almost like a jerky and when opened up the bones come out like a comb. No fishy flavor whatsoever. Both fish and beans taste like a great soy sauce and as such is a bit salty but now I crave these.

This is a pantry staple
When do you NOT need a special tasty ingredient to flavor up the brown rice you have leftover. This shelf-stable fish is full of flavor and can transform rice into your next favorite comfort food. Tons of umami in it makes it compatible with any other ingredients you might have on hand. Pearl River is another brand. I prefer Eagle Coin because I notice a faint but distinct 5 spice or star anise flavor in it.
